Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

[hugling]

Not a fairytale land. You know what, think of it as another planet. A planet that's really far away.

What's a planet?

[ at the same time ] You don't know what you're talking about, do you.

[hugling]

[WHERE DID THESE PEOPLE EVEN COME FROM]

...Okay. So. You guys are from... I don't know, hypothetically let's say you're from Japan. And now we're in... oh, let's say Brazil. Brazil is really far away from Japan, right? And let's also say there aren't any planes or boats that can take you back to Japan, so effectively you're stuck in this weird place for the foreseeable future. Make sense?

[bedtime]

Ah, so it's like that... far, far away... someplace we can never reach, no matter how far we stretch our arms...

But what is a plane? Ichi knows what a boat is, but never a plane.

You know a lot about this. Are you one of the guys who kidnapped us?

[hugling]

A plane is-- what? No! No, I didn't kidnap anyone. I woke up here on the train. It's just that stuff kind of like this happens to me and my friends sometimes, I don't know who brought us here.

[bedtime]

[ Oichi is quiet, eyes darting from Kotarou to Teddy and back to Kotarou. ]

[tenwholeryou]

[ oh is that an ounce of power shifting in his direction. GONNA GRAB THAT. ] No way you'd know this much... and what's all this stuff about 'planes' and 'planets'? Sounds made up.

[hugling]

[hey GIVE THAT BACK!] I don't work for anyone, I swear. A plane is a machine that people get inside to go long distances. It flies in the sky. A planet is... uh. Have you ever seen a globe or a map of the world? It's that.

[bedtime]

[ Oichi looks to Kotarou for a long moment, thinking. When she turns back to Teddy she is narrowing her eyes. Her voice is dark in a way it hadn't been before. There is no whimsical lilt to her voice now. ]

A liar should die... a liar who spins tall tales will be left to rot, and to fester when he is truly in need of help... Ichi won't help you ever. Kota won't help you either. You'll be all alone...

[tenwholeryou]

[ whoa okay he didn't expect that. Maybe he shouldn't have been so contrary. ]

Ichi?

[hugling]

[woah what the fuck]

[he stands up off the bench like it's made of hot lava and turns to face Oichi and Kotarou, holding his hands up defensively.]

I'm not a liar! Holy shit, don't kill me, I swear I didn't do anything!

[bedtime]

[ She doesn't falter; she just continues to look at Teddy with cold eyes. ]

A liar is a liar... Ichi can smell it, ok? Ichi can feel it, ok? So go on... run away with your tail between your legs...

[tenwholeryou]

Ichi, what's wrong? I, um. [ wait, if he says he was just doing it because he was annoyed and frustrated, will she turn on him? HE DOESN'T KNOW, WHY ARE NOBLES WEIRD. ] I made a mistake! He's not really bad!

[hugling]

[if he had his powers he might be starting to go a little green around the edges right about now.]

What the hell is wrong with you? This kid is like seven, he makes some comment about me knowing too much and you tell me I'm going to rot alone? Seriously, what?

[bedtime]

[ Oichi just looks at Kotarou and listens and turns her head this way and that. She looks at Teddy as though he were something strange. ]

He... isn't bad? A mistake...

[tenwholeryou]

That's right! A mistake. [ BLONDE GUY DON'T DO THAT WE HAVE TO DEFUSE HER. He's not sure who to be more wary of, the noble or the foreigner. But he's in 'calming down a friend' mode, which is basically just 'calming down his dog' mode but with less being able to physically hold them down. He'll have to just grab one of Oichi's hands, instead, and pat it awkwardly. ] It's a mistake, Ichi!

[hugling]

Uh... [right okay just go along with the kid] Right. Yeah, he made a mistake. I'm not bad, I promise.

[bedtime]

Then... ok, Ichi sees... perhaps Ichi was too hasty... yes, that must be it... thank you, little Kota...

[tenwholeryou]

[ whew. He turns to Teddy, quickly. ]

You're saying... we're in a foreign country. And we can't leave, no matter what? Tch. Guess I'll believe you. [ not that he'll admit it, but this place is already about a hundred steps up from his previous living situation. Or it would be if his dog was here. ]

[hugling]

Yeah, that's the basic idea. We can't go home until we win the game, apparently. According to the shopkeeper, anyway.

[Teddy does not sit back down on the bench, because he needs to be able to make a break for it if Oichi gets all creepy again.]

A game...? Like catch?
