Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

"Rescue?" she asked with a weak smile. Surely the world wasn't the sort of place where people actually needed rescued.

[savedbyasong]

"Yes, she's in lot's of danger... So I should be back home helping Rat rescue her..." Would Rat even rescue her if he went alone? Surely he would. Surely he wouldn't get all that way and leave her.

[drawsdeath]

"Wow...is where you live so dangerous?" she asked in surprise. She couldn't imagine a world where people actually needed rescuing.

Shion nodded, "At least... for some people it is... for others it isn't as long as you stick to the rules. But my friend was innocent they just took her."

[drawsdeath]

"That's horrible," she murmured, sighing softly. "I guess even when you think it doesn't, the world winds up really sucking..."

[savedbyasong]

"We will save her though," he smiles and shakes his head, "But there are so many wonderful things about the world as well. And sometimes even when you experience hardship you can find wonderful things in life."

[drawsdeath]

She gave him a disbelieving look, and shook her head. "That's a stupid way of looking at things. Eventually things get hard enough that it's not worth fighting any more."

Shion's intent look didn't fade. "It is always worth fighting." He told her seriously.

[drawsdeath]

"The world's always gonna suck, y'know. No amount of fighting it's gonna change that. Sure, you might be able to find nice things in-between the suck, but it's still a bad place in the end," she said, a despair in her eyes showing that, sadly, she really believed that.

Shion shook his head and reached out for Becca's hand. "You don't really believe that," he told her, though her eyes showed other wise. "There is always hope that the world will become better."

[drawsdeath]

She let him take her hand, staring down at it like she was barely aware of what was happening. "I've seen too much to hope the world will become better," she replied, though that damnable fog was blocking out her ability to remember how she'd seen it. She had notebook after notebook of violent deaths and grisly murders, but how had she ever known about them?

He shook his head again. "I am sorry that you have suffered," he squeezed her hand, "Hopefully things will become brighter for you soon."

[drawsdeath]

"Something like that," she murmured, and squeezed his hand in return. She pulled hers back, not sure what else to say to him.

Shion smiled at her again but didn't say anything else.
