Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

[ She smiles then, and looks all around herself. She's sitting in the snow but she doesn't seem to be phased in the least. Oichi puts a hand on her stomach. ]

Ichi is hungry... there is so much to see yet so little to eat...

[honkhonkwoof]

You're hungry? Well dang, that ain't no good at all. Do you have a clue where we could get some grub? [ Ick, he phrased that wrong. ] Uh, food, not grub. Gross. [ Maybe that's why he's starting to feel off. Maybe he's just hungry... ]

[bedtime]

[ She just looks at him blankly. ]

Uh... [ Awkward pause. ] I guess that's a no.

[bedtime]

[ She sways a little bit in her place before standing and brushing the snow off of her bare legs. Yeah it's finally got to her. ]

It's cold... Ichi is cold and hungry...

[honkhonkwoof]

[ He pouts and stands up as well, grabbing her hand. ] Being cold and hungry ain't no good combination. [ And now he's dragging her off with him into the little town, wandering. As long as Oichi follows him, he stops in front of a little cafe. The giant cup sign says it all. ] Heeeeeeeey, I think there might be food in there. [ He feels like he's on an adventure. Adventuring and hunting for food with his new friend. Totally. ]

[bedtime]

[ She lets herself be dragged along. She watches the scenery but does not quite seem to see much; her stare is vacant. ]

Ah, it's warm... such a bright color, such a sweet song... [ She goes inside, pushing the door aside with no real difficulty. ] Look, look... hear and see and smell... there are things to eat...

[honkhonkwoof]

[ Gamzee steps in after her, chuckling at her strange words. They were strange, but kind of soothing at the same time. ] Yeeeeeah, time to get our munchies on! [ Maybe he said that a bit too loudly. Almost everyone turns to look at him for a moment... ]

[ Oichi creeps over to the counter. Someone asks her what she'd like, and she replies: ]

Rice... please and thank you...

[bedtime]

[ BUT THERE WAS NO RICE!!!!! she turns to Gamzee ]

They don't have rice... what sort of restaurant has no rice... this place, Ichi hates it...

[honkhonkwoof]

Rice? What the motherfuck is that? Sounds like a name you'd give creepy-crawlers. [ But he shrugs and says, ] Maybe they have something else you'd like! [ He wanders over to the counter, and someone asks what he'd like, and he replies: ] Grubloaf!

[honkhonkwoof]

[ BUT THERE WAS NO GRUBLOAF!!!! He turns to Oichi with a blank face. ] I kinda think I see whatcha mean now, chica.

[bedtime]

Ichi will starve... starve and die... how horrible... Ichi doesn't want to die. [ She starts to cry. ]

oH my gOD

[honkhonkwoof]

[ Oh nooooooooo don't cry new friend... ] Awww, no you won't, sis! [ He wraps her in a hug, squeezing tightly. ] I won't let you. C'mon, we'll grab whatever they have. [ And he nods to the person at the counter, who had been staring for quite a while. ] C'mon, we can't let Ichi starve! [ They hurry to prepare something. ]

[bedtime]

[ She stops crying almost immediately when he hugs her. She looks to him very slowly, her head held straight. ]

Ah...

[ The hug makes her feel an uncomfortable sense of being on the brink of something. Someone hugged her before-- just one person. And maybe then that someone said to her similar words. She murmurs very quietly, her face disturbed: ]

The edge of a cliff, crumbling crumbling crumbling away... I feel strange, and I do not like it...

[honkhonkwoof]

[ He looks down at her, tilting his head. The words don't make sense; at least to him. She says curious things, but this is by far the strangest. She doesn't look right. He loosens his hold, but his hands linger on her shoulders, smile slipping. ] Sorry chica, you ain't liking hugs? I hope I didn't upset you too much.

[bedtime]

[ Oichi just looks away, folding her arms. ]

[ He pouts and lifts his hands off her shoulders, sighing. At least she stopped crying -- though that was better in a way, because he wasn't the thing that made her upset. ]

[honkhonkwoof]

[ Then he bursts into smile, and tilts her head up. ] C'mon sis, you can't be looking so down when... [ and as if on cue, ding ding, food is ready for them! ]

You're about to eat! No one can be sad when their tummy is full! [ Annnnd... the chick at the counter hands him a muffin and something else, he doesn't know, it's curled weirdly. But he hands the mushroom thing to Oichi, urging her to try it. ]

[bedtime]

[ Oichi silently takes the food and eats. Her attentions shifted, her mood perks up. She's never seen a muffin before, and eats it all down. Including the paper. She watches Gamzee curiously. ]

Ichi wants to go home now... to take a rest...

[honkhonkwoof]

[ Gamzee shrugs and stuffs the crossant into his mouth, then nods. ] Aw sure, sis. I getcha. [ He gives the nice lady at the counter some raks, he's not even sure how much he needed to give, but she seems pleased enough. ] Alright, let's get outta here. [ Again, if Oichi does not protest this time, he grabs her hand and leads her quickly and silently to their dorm. He's not even sure how he knows where he's going. He just does, like when he left his hive to wander and couldn't see it when he looked back anymore.

He stops outside the entrance, and turns around to her a final time. ] We're still friends, right? I hope I ain't ruined a perfectly fine thing before it even begun...
