Meet and Greet [shopping intro]

Whilst the four still tied to a school had been up since that morning, warned only at the last minute about the incoming train, Recette had managed to sleep in and avoid the panic. In fact, the first hint she got that all was not as it had been was the Mayor paying her a visit near midday and inviting her to watch the arrivals. She had; she'd exclaimed over the variety and how many new friends they were going to have now - it had been a little lonely that week, with just six of them who weren't parts of the city instead of people - and then she hurried back to get her shop open.

So! The sign proclaims RAKETTE: OFFICIAL EXACLAN SHOP, and the entire facade is covered in a fresh coat of bright paint. The snow in front of the shop has been swept away, making it highly obvious on the street. Items are arrayed on shelves and in the windows of the shop - charms, foodstuffs, uniforms and sundry items of clothing. She hadn't really had any idea what the new people might like when she was setting up, so most of it is just leftover stock from their session, but maybe they'd find something they liked. She hopes so. There are a fair few jumpers, hoodies, coats and scarves on the tables inside the shop.

The interior sorted, she sets the sign out in the road: WELCOME TO RAKUEN! FREE WALNUT BREAD FOR NEW STUDENTS AND TEACHERS! SPECIAL OFFER: PDAs ONLY 8 RAKS. and waits for someone to enter the main street.

[ooc: for a list of basic prices, see here. For an explanation of money, look helpless in front of Recette.]

Why not? It was a good time as any to visit the shop. She had these two odd coins, maybe she could spend them on something. Or maybe she could just ask the shopkeep about them. She walked over to the shopkeeper, looking slightly confused and even more quizzical.

"What kind of stuff do you sell? Anything that would make it easy to keep in touch with people from different schools?" She at least needed a way to contact... certain people. She didn't really look around the store, but she at least knew what a computer was. But did they use phones here? Or just small devices? She wasn't even sure if she was in the same year anymore.

Oh, PDAs. Handheld computers. That would actually be a good investment. "Okay, then, I'll take one of those." Especially if it was on sale. It wouldn't hurt. She took out one of the 10-rak coins and put it on the counter.

Noticing the Memory Charm, she decided to ask. "What're those, by the way?" She hadn't seen anything quite like it, and for some reason it grabbed her attention. That's when she wondered why it seemed faintly familiar...

So she's forgotten things. Great. That at least helps her out a bit. She'll have to tell Roxie later. "I'll have to save up for those, then. ... So can the PDA do all types of posting? Voice chatting would be easier than texting."

Four more raks? She might as well. Having video and voice would make make this a lot easier. Why did they only give you a text option on something like a PDA, anyway? "I'll get that too, then." She handed over the other 10-rak coin, pocketing the 2 raks she got in change from the PDA.
