Dining Hall
[Yuki is in the dining hall with the rule book in front of her and a plate of food on her left. On her right is a note book where she is diligently taking notes.]
[Your name is in the book. She has a list of the players, weapons, playerless weapons, battles, outcomes, stats, everything she could possibly need in the future. Don't be creeped out, it's necessary]
[mumbling] I don't understand...

[mumbling] I don't understand...

What do you mean? The history you know is different from the history being taught? It all matched up to me...
[she looks over at Sherlock again, maybe they could use his insight but she's not quite ready to call him over just yet, maybe this information should be kept quiet]

Well... I have to admit I don't know much about that time in history. [Grenn pauses and shrugs. Lowers her voice just a bit.]
But, well. With history that ancient, they just don't go in on particulars. [She's not sure she should say more than that, even if they apparently come from slightly different... versions? of reality.]

[she leans in and speaks softer] Grenn, when are you from? [This had to be one of the oddest questions she's ever asked]
[in her confused state, she momentarily forgets about Sherlock]

It's year 326, soon 327... after a particular event, but I'm not actually sure how much time there's between the old calendar and the new one... Dates were never my favourite. [Grenn finishes in an apologetic tone, now more or less whispering.]
[Of course, she used the new calendar quite knowingly... if that guy over there is listening, and she's not sure either way, he's not going to be able to tell anything from those dates. She could have used the Hijri calendar, but then the exact dates could have been figured out, for those who knew that way of keeping time.]</small

I don't know when that year is... or how far it is from the year I'm from. This is just all so confusing. May I ask what event took place that needed to instate a new calendar?
[She looks over at Sherlock again and wonders what year he's from]

I'm not sure I should... what if that changes something? [But she wants to explain something, and if Yuki doesn't know the exact dates of when the new calendar was instated, or how long it had been between the past she probably inhabited and the future when that event happened...]
[Of course, if they simply come from different realities, it probably doesn't matter, but Grenn's aware the difference in history could simply be things forgotten between then and now.]
What happened was... [Then she snaps her mouth shut. Looks around. It's not just that guy over there in here, even if none of the others are even potetntially close.]
[So she takes out her pencil and notebook, and hopes the translation works for text, too; First permanent expedition landing on Mars. Finished, Grenn gives the notebook to Yuki. She doesn't mention the terraforming.]

[She gasped and covered her mouth in shock]
[They actually got that far?]
[Looks at Grenn] Really?
no subject
Really. That deserves its own calendar, don't you think? [Grenn says with a smile. It's kinda funny, she wouldn't be born for forever when that expedition happened, but she still feels kinda proud, in the face of Yuki's surprise.]
What date is it to you? I mean, before you ended up here? [Grenn has to admit to being curious, about the relative time difference. Of course, that says nothing about what time (if there is any) they're in right now, here...]
