Kallen wasn't exactly excited (as usual) to be here. Held hostage against her will...again. She stood in one of the hallways during lunch without much to do. The people in the classroom were too noisy and she just needed the banter to be reduced in order to think for the rest of the break. Between her fingers she slid a memory some start to finish and then back again. Kallen had three, but it dwindled down to one. She knew no one in her dorm in their right mind would steal from her (especially the guys since her an Gino's argument; not to mention she had been spending less and less time there). So considering the whole 'system' so to speak, Kallen had a good idea that they were taken away, not stolen.

"Guess this is your way of trying to make me fight."

Something didn't feel right in all of this. Why make everyone fight in order to get memories back? And on top of that, she still didn't feel like she was forgetting anything. Not until this morning.



{Feel free to notice that the top of Kallen's uniform looks wrong or off. Spoiler: she doesn't remember how to wear a bra, so yeah, she didn't wear one at all was too frustrated after fighting with it.}

What's the purpose of the game back in your world?

Believe me, if you knew, it wouldn't be a silly reason. I just wanted to attend high school normally. Does that sound out of the ordinary for you?

Oppressing women.

You misunderstand; I want very much the same thing. But this isn't a normal high school at all.

Who says we can't name it? I haven't fought and I've been attending classes. It's what I want.

Wh-- [Oppression of any sort never sat well with Kallen. After all, she fought a war to rise against the oppression of her people; to be treated equal.] That's-- [It's a good reason to make Kallen fight if it were like that here.]

Yes, I know it sounds rather unbelievable. But the original Utopia Academy... or rather, the one I came from is based upon an ultra chauvinistic ideology that women should be subservient to men. For that purpose, the Exaclan System was created in which only men could be Players and women were all their property, weapons.

Obviously it is not like that here... so I can't even begin to fathom what the goal of Exaclan is here.

[Really, all of that was hard to believe. She would have hoped that someone would have stood up to all of this. Because Kallen knew for a face she would have.]

Did you have memories missing in your world?

No, that's new to this place. Coercion like this wasn't necessary back home.

I see. [Kallen crosses her arms over her chest.]

[Tsuki remained silent for a moment, before finally adding:] So you still intend to refuse to fight?

[queenscheckmate]

There's nothing to fight for. I'm here against my will, I cannot go home. The administrators have not made themselves known and the teachers are no help. What exactly am I supposed to be fighting against here?

You have a good point. Fighting is exactly what they want, and we have no idea if fighting will achieve anything for us.

But for the time being, we are simply without another viable course of action. Just rebelling against the system with no hope of victory or clear cut goal is foolish.

You can play into their game if you want... I refuse to give them what they desire from us.

I'll wish you luck then. I sympathize with your goal, if not your methods.

You'll just fight because they want you to? And you call my reasoning 'silly'?

I'll fight because that seems to be the best way of achieving anything here.

And what exactly is 'anything'?

For now, it seems to be the only way to reclaim the memories we've lost.

Then let me ask you this. What reason is there to fight when you feel you haven't forgotten anything?

You may feel that way, but I doubt you were exempt. Don't you have any desire to find out what pieces of the puzzle are missing from your mind?

I would, if there was something. [And she means that.] I do have to fight, I don't plan on doing it meaninglessly.

I can agree with that assessment. It's best not to just charge into things without fully understanding what's going on.

[she pauses, thinking on that.] Perhaps I've been a bit overeager as well.

It's all right. I too, once fought to regain something, so I understand.

For my own part, I merely lapsed into thinking partaking in the game was necessary. After all, I've grown quite accustomed to it. But here the rules are different... Perhaps I'm simply having a hard time coming to terms with that.

I think it's understandable, since this world closely aligns with your own.

[A moment of silence passed because well, Kallen couldn't say much in terms of comfort or knowledge. But in the mean time, she figured it was best to introduce herself.]
