Battle [Thursday]
Weapons: Vriska Serket and Homura Akemi Dave Strider vs. Suzaku Kururugi
Location: Battle Arena
Time of day: Afternoon(After School)
Honestly, Dave was beginning to think being Player to all these girls was kind of cumbersome. Why did they all have to have so many friends? Jegus christ, it's like suddenly he has to find all their friends from Conquest and try to get them back. He's not all that miffed though. If gave him something to do, and a little friendly fighting wasn't bad right?
It's why Dave is standing at the Battle Arena in town, waiting for Suzaku. He didn't really talk to Suzaku before. He was vaguely aware that the guy wasn't so bad.
Dave only got in contact because Madoka got in contact with Homura and it just went from there. He did tell Vriska he intended to fight with her, so here it was. Maybe it'll shut her up and he doesn't have to be around her being so insufferable for a little bit. Dave didn't have anything against this Suzaku guy. Dave just didn't like to lose. And he was a man on a mission. That mission, apparently having a bunch of girls which he barely knew.
my favorites tbh
She grabs for his hair, nails digging into his scalp to try slamming his head back against the ground. The difference is? Her nails are sharp and dangerous.

And being mute had its advantages. He couldn't yell or scream in pain, even if his head was swimming as he feels the back of his head slam back against the ground. Dave yanked at her hair roughly so he can drag her face a little closer so he can spit in it. Gross, now you got spit and blood on your face.

Guilt. Goddamn it. What did she have to thinking something stupid like that now?

And this is just really fucking stupid. Fighting her and letting himself get beaten up, because he knew this was how it was going to go. But he was still trying to fight back, even if it was kind of sad and even if it was just really all so ridiculous.

She sits back, hand moving to tentatively touch her eye. Yeah, that shit's gonna bruise. At least it won't last long.
"What the fuck is your malfunction, Strider?"
no subject
Yeah. This was stupid. All of this was stupid. It takes him a moment to realize she asked him a question. God, he's pretty happy that he just can't cry anymore. He'd hate to cry in front of Vriska. Unguarded without his shades. Stuck in a shitty and compromising situation.
He just signs four simple letters from the alphabet.
J-A-D-E.
And he tries to keep his face as passive as he can, but there are so many obvious cracks and he hasn't tried fixing them all yet (and he can't because there's too many).

"It's isn't my fault she believed me. It's pretty pathetic her faith in you could be turned so easily anyway."
She glances over at Dave, and ugh. There's the nagging guilt in the pit of her stomach. How's she going to explain this to John? Oh sorry, Egbert, your best friend punched me so I tried to beat him into the pavement. She drags her hands through her hair, gripping it tightly and tugging on it as her mind scrambles for any excuse she can use. It's hard trying to be a good person when your whole upbringing is telling you to be a murderer. It's hard and nobody understands.

He sits up finally and might have shoved her a bit, but he slowly gets to his feet. And it's obvious that his body is aching at how gingerly he gets up. He doesn't do anything else though and shoves his hands in his pockets. Dave looked pretty defeated and it looked like he's just done with everything. That Vriska obviously had won and he just didn't want to deal with any of this anymore.

That doesn't really help the whole guilt thing, so she looks away as she gets to her feet, dusting herself off and flapping her wings to smooth the crinkles out of them. Which just ends up in a lot more pixie dust on the ground than there is already from the scuffle. She doesn't know what to say so she just leans down to pick the shades up and jab them in his direction.
"If my Eightfold is permanently fucked up because of you, this isn't over."

Deciding that he's had enough of being around her for the day, Dave just turns his back on her and starts walking. The direction, completely random. But it probably meant he didn't want to go back to the dorms either, so he's just going to find a quieter place to go.

She moves out of general eyesight, sinking back down to the ground in an alleyway. She doesn't want to go back to the dorms yet, but there's that stupid rule about being out in the city proper unaccompanied by her Player. She's not worried about being caught, it would just be incredibly inconvenient and she doesn't want to deal with it right now. This whole thing is stupid.
