Forward dated to Thursday

Suzaku Kururugi vs. Estonia
Weapons: Lelouch vi Britannia and Lithuania
Location: Conquest campus
Time of day: After school

Suzaku was sat on a bench in the courtyard, he was still angry after fighting Gino. Angry at himself mostly for losing. Not only for failing to win Nunnally but for losing Don. Though Suzaku was sure that Gino would be nice enough to the people who had joined him as weapons. Even if he were a traitor and in league with Zero, a fact Suzaku was still coming to terms with.

He looked over to Lelouch before looking at the floor again. "I'll try again, we know what her weapon is now..."

Suzaku was a little worried about this, this was his third fight today and so he was tireder than he should be, at least they had agreed to transfer weapons back no matter what.

But he had not used Lelouch's weapon in a battle yet, and didn't want to hurt him, he didn't want to hurt his roommate either though the kid was a lot tougher than he seemed.

"Ready?" He asked Estonia before turning to Lelouch, waiting for him to tell him he was ready.

Lelouch took another couple of steps closer to Suzaku, and knew he would have to step back to complete the weapon draw, considering the size of the sword. But after that discussion earlier, he hoped Suzaku was up to it. He nodded, to show he was ready.

Suzaku put the glove on and reached towards Lelouch, whose chest was glowing. Suzaku would never quite get used to that he thought. Reaching into the light he pulled out the sword stepping back, as usual the name of the sword and numbers appeared around them, but this time a bright star was stamped through the middle of it.

Suzaku blinked and only his training prevented him from dropping the sword. The star... that hadn't happened before...

Only half paying attention to Suzaku and Lelouch, Estonia is more interested in making sure Lithuania is ready to fight (quiet, sisterly concern, although she doesn't say much, not to her Weapon) and then drawing his sword from him, taking a moment to get used to the feel of it in her hand before turning to Suzaku. She's just as slight and unassuming as ever, but there's a glint to her eyes as she takes a defensive stance. There's something exhilarating about battling, even if she hasn't done it in ways like this for many, many years.

"Ready when you are."

Lithuania hasn't been on this side of the battle yet, but he's got enough childish enthusiasm to carry him through the oddity of having a sword drawn from him--and it doesn't hurt, not really. Lithuania did at least notice the star, and while he made a curious noise, didn't speak up about it directly; maybe that was just how the weapon looked all the time.

Lithuania instead backs up out of the way, as getting in the middle of the fight would be a bad idea.

Suzaku nodded, he still had no idea what the star was but nothing seemed to be wrong so he turned to face Estonia. "Ready." He nodded and slipped into a defensive stance holding the sword in front of him, his hands low and the blade pointing up towards Estonia.

Lelouch also caught sight of the star that came when their opponent drew. Yes, it wasn't just an anomaly. But what was the common thread? He didn't know anything about these two. He would have to learn.

Watching Suzaku, Estonia matched his pose, but only for a moment before stepping in and swinging at him. A quick and hard first strike, because if you were going to fight, you might as well fight to win, or at least be a good loss.

Suzaku was watching carefully and stepped swiftly to the side, bringing his sword up to meet hers. It had been a long time since he had fought against someone with a sword, he was used to fighting in Knightmare Frame's or with a gun.

He had drilled, but it was not the same as actually fighting against someone else. He brought the sword quickly back into the same position before stepping forward with a low strike, aiming for the hip.

Estonia simply turned the sword in her hands down to meet and clash with his as she side-stepped to give herself more space to work. Coming out of the meeting of the weapons, hers went next in a broad swing at his arm.

The impact jarred and Suzaku stepped backwards, worried about harming Lelouch as he would be feeling the impact of the sword. He turned to the side allowing the next strike to hit, blocking with his arm in order to not use Lelouch's sword and damage it further.

It burned and hurt but there was no blood, just a rip in his uniform sleave. Not bleeding didn't mean it didn't hurt like he had been cut though. He slipped quickly into a defensive position while he recovered enough to strike.

Pleased (not surprised, she wouldn't let herself be surprised that she was capable) that she got the first hit of the match in, Estonia took a step back and assumed a low defensive position of her own, letting Suzaku recover to make the next move as she glanced in the direction of their Weapons to check on them.

Lithuania was standing out of the way, watching with rapt attention every exchange. He looks like he'd much prefer to be actively participating, but if his role is to just wait for an outcome, he can do that as well.

Of course, he's also making note of the swordplay at work in the fight, and critiquing it in his mind. He's keeping quiet about it, though.

Suzaku recovered quickly, pushing the pain to the side, he could deal with it later. When he was ready he sprung forward bringing his sword upwards aiming at Estonia's chest.

Estonia moved quickly, back and to the side, even as she brought the blade up. Although she trusted Lithuania to take plenty of damage before she seriously had to worry, simply by nature of who (and what) he was, any of the shock of the blow she could absorb herself would be good. After blocking Suzaku's blow, she took a quick swing at him, aiming to slice at his waist.

Suzaku stepped to the side, the sword catching his waist, he hissed in pain even as he brought his sword round and down aiming at Estonia's right shoulder.

"The Knight of Three proved to be not entirely useless outside of a Knightmare Frame, this is true. He calls himself her Knight, and the arrangement that we have is that I will not get in the way of that as long as she remains happy. That's what I have always fought for, Suzaku." He patted him on the shoulder. "As soon as that changes, however, we will have to do something about it."

Suzaku still didn't understand most of that, but Gino's words were clear in his mind, whatever had happened between what Suzaku could remember and what Gino could remember Suzaku was either dead, which seemed impossible, or he had somehow vanished, taken captive or ran away.

"So you are content to leave her with Gino for now?" They didn't really have a choice since Suzaku had failed, he didn't look up from where he was staring.

"There are less favorable options. She is in no immediate danger." It was hard to believe he was willing to trust Gino this far, but there was evidence to back up their claims from reputable sources, so he needn't worry too much. But then again, this was Nunnally. And perhaps keeping her apart would better protect her, with what he was planning. Better for her to be far and safe than close and in harm's way.

Suzaku nodded, that was true, as strange as Gino's story was he claimed to be Nunnally's knight and therefore would protect her. "If you think that is best," he looked up and nodded. He still felt like he had failed her, again, but at least she was in no danger.

"He has made it abundantly clear that the only reason why he hasn't taken action against me is due to Nunnally's order," he replied. "Between that and the reluctant aid he has given Zero, he may be useful yet."

Suzaku nodded, he wasn't sure why Gino was listening to Nunnally's orders but it was a good thing at least, the second thing wasn't so good. He frowned, "I don't know why he would aid Zero, it doesn't make sense, Gino might not have supported you as emperor but he is not that much of a traitor, not a terrorist..."

Lelouch had figured out long ago that Suzaku had no memory of Zero's identity, and it was kind of a bother to have to tiptoe around it. "Were his loyalties to Britannia, to the royal family, or to Schneizel and Charles? 'My enemy's enemy is my ally' is fairly elementary." That was more or less the reason he had the Chinese Federation, Kyoto, and Japan Liberation Front at his disposal at various times.

Suzaku shrugged, "Britannia I would say, at least that was what it was supposed to be..." Then again Suzaku couldn't judge anyone for their loyalties being different from what they swore them to be.

"Charles I would think, he was incredibly angry when Schneizel sent me to assassinate the emperor..."

That actually made a note of surprise come across his face. "Elaborate." He noted there was no headache so this was information he genuinely did not know.

Suzaku blinked, but he knew that Lelouch had forgotten about being emperor. Or came from a time when he wasn't emperor yet, it was confusing.

"After..." Wait after what... something had happened... Suzaku had been upset, his headache got worse all of a sudden and he frowned. "A battle... I think it was the battle FLEIJA was fired..." It must have been, that's why everyone was so upset...

"Schneizel wanted to become emperor, he sent me to assassinate Charles," well Suzaku had practically sent himself. "That was why I was there, at the Raganork junction."

As Suzaku spoke, Lelouch paid careful attention to how his mind reacted to the information as it was given to him. No headaches. No dizziness.

"That's not a memory that I've lost. That is entirely new information to me, and I have no headache. I don't feel dizzy at all. There are more things that you know that I don't that aren't explainable by the memories they took from us. You have experienced a longer period of time. As ludicrous as it sounds, that is the only probable explanation."

Suzaku blinked, just like when he had been talking to Gino, he didn't even know how they could have been taken from different times, since Lelouch had never disappeared...

"What is the last thing you remember?" Just how far back was Lelouch, he knew that he had forgotten Nunnally was alive, but was that a memory taken or just something he had not yet experienced.

He frowned. "I was being brought back from the front lines following the detonation of FLEIJA over Tokyo." That was fortunately a less painful memory now than it had been when he first arrived.

Suzaku frowned and nodded, "That was a few months ago, a lot has happened since then..." He looked down and frowned, his head was beginning to hurt again, it happened a lot and it made him wonder just what he had forgotten.
