Fortitude: Round 3 Start

The morning after the sleepover, Dolorosa is quick to get all of the Conquest students out the door to save them the wrath of Day and Santana. She gives her students a little more time but still hurries them so she can start the assembly on time. She didn't want her school to be in any disadvantage.

Some may notice that her ever present smile is a bit wider today, as she stands behind the podium, two prefects in tow. That's right, two prefects. Lelouch has reached prefect status and stands besides the ever cool Nanami. Dolorosa is eager to begin her speech.

"Welcome, my students. Last time we were here we suffered a gracious defeat, but I am happy to announce that this is not the case this round. We have obtained victory over Round 2, and I would like to say that I am proud of you all. You all fought wonderfully and no matter if you won or lost your match, Fortitude came out on top."

"If this were Conquest, or I a different troll, I would urge you to keep winning, to keep defeating Conquest, but we are not them and I am not different. Instead I would like to extend a congratulations for this round, and hope you try your hardest next round. Win or lose we can show that we are a cohesive school, here for more than just battle. I am proud of all of you, and just as we were gracious losers, I expect you all to be gracious winners as well."

"I'm sure you have all noticed the extra Raks you have obtained for winning the round, I hope you treat yourseld to something nice. Without further ado I will announce the battles that occurred this round."

Behind her, the battle records appear.

She starts with the Fortitude battles, "I am always proud when there is little fighting within our school, but I do encourage competition, so I would like to congratulate Dahlia for defeating Yuri, and Yuri for defeating Oichi." she applauds a bit.

Next up, the interschool battle, "For those who fought Conquest and won, I would like to congratulate Dave for defeating Marik, England for defeating Suzaku, Dave for defeating Suzaku, Oichi for defeating Suzaku, Dave for defeating Estonia, Marisa for defeating Nephenee, Dave for defeating Gino, and Yuri for defeating Gino." She applauds again.

"My last congratulations go to Dave, Marisa, and Oichi for winning the roung and helping Fortitude achieve victory!" And some more applauding.

The screen behind her changes again, "This round's Players are...

"Ooh. How neat. Well, maybe next round I can see!" A small rumble sounded from the general vicinity of her stomach, and she blushed, "Oh dear...I have not eaten much since coming here. I suppose sunning will not work for me in this form..."

[traces]

"Oh, yes, maybe!"

Dahlia put one hand to her chin curiously. "Sunning? Whatever do you mean by that?"

Yellow stood there with a complete look of confusion on her face. She still was not sure about all of this but was glad she was not expected to fight just yet. She stands there by the wall, looking quite out of place.

Thanks to the charm he got her, she doesn't even need a nametag to recognize him. Still, the thought is appreciated; she bounds up to him immediately and wraps her arms around him. Her own nametag is a bit less ostentatious, but spells out Jade! :) in curly letters with green pen.

"We are Weapons together!"

"Shion!" If the massive swap-meet of Weapons the previous round - or even the sleepover that followed it - had done one thing, it was ensuring that Sora knew the names of nearly everyone on either campus. And not just names - she knew that Shion's shaking was because he wasn't a fighter. Here was someone she needed to protect.

"Shion, will you vow with me? I really think that together, we can make a difference."

Shion blinked but smiled, after her reaction to being touched in art class he knew it probably took a lot for her to be able to reach out. And he appreciated it. "Thank you Becca... I just... I wish there were another way..." But there was not, and so he just had to accept it, and be strong... "Will you be okay?"

Shion turned to see Sora and smiled, "Hello Sora," he nodded slowly. "Do you think... I would like to vow with you, if that's what you want."

"Of course! That way I can protect you, and you can help everyone!" This was clearly the best plan ever. He had a kind, warm heart and Sora couldn't help but want him to share that with everyone. Surely that would help.

[mamarosa]

You just have to hope you get the right one, it's all about luck.

[savedbyasong]

Shion smiled and nodded, "We can! We can help everyone and make sure everyone is equal."

He took her hand, "I Shion, do swear to protect you Sora Himoto for all the time you are my weapon, and to work together with you for the benefit of all. I will give you all the rights you deserve and promise to try and be a good player for you."

[allurprincess]

"I, Sora, will serve you as your Weapon for as long as I can! And I will protect you and honour you as my friend. Togerher we can achieve Utopia."

She might have been getting some of this from song lyrics, but who cared really.

[has_soothing_bells]

"My type is Grass, so I am a plant Pokemon. I normally get my nutrients by sunning, but in this form..." Growl growl. "I imagine I need real food."

Great. I don't even know what my other missing memories are, and I'm pretty sure one of them is awful.

"Looking for someone?" she asked amusedly, walking over to Dave. She was trying to cover her utter terror and horror at being called as a player, and she was doing passably well at it. But only passably.

"I could be your player this round. I found a friend of yours I think, his name's John?"

[pencilpremonition]

It had indeed, but she knew how much being reached out to was worth. She smiled weakly and squeezed his hand. "We'll fight each other so we don't get penalised. A fake fight, where nobody gets hurt."

Don't worry Sora Shion was getting his words from bad novels, so to him her vow sounded powerful and brave. He saw the mark appear on her hand and smiled taking out his notepad and writing a quick permission note. "There, now no one can stop you doing anything."

Shion nodded, "That... that would be good. Thank you Becca."

[pencilpremonition]

"And if we can pool six weapons between us, I'll fight you and lose mine to you so you win. Then discard one, I'll pledge with them, fight you, lose yours to me, and I'll win. Then I'll transfer back some so we have a couple at the end of the round just in case," she said, grinning a little bit as she plotted a way to get plenty of money for the both of them, and for their weapons.

I did not enjoy having gaps in my memories, anything regained it worth rejoicing about. It helps you understand who you are.

Yes, maybe you will find out why and begin to work through it.

I probably have that reaction for a good reason.

There is most likely a reason that you will not enjoy discovering, but knowing can help aid in recovery.
