rakuen | Fortitude: Round 3 Start

The morning after the sleepover, Dolorosa is quick to get all of the Conquest students out the door to save them the wrath of Day and Santana. She gives her students a little more time but still hurries them so she can start the assembly on time. She didn't want her school to be in any disadvantage.

Some may notice that her ever present smile is a bit wider today, as she stands behind the podium, two prefects in tow. That's right, two prefects. Lelouch has reached prefect status and stands besides the ever cool Nanami. Dolorosa is eager to begin her speech.

"Welcome, my students. Last time we were here we suffered a gracious defeat, but I am happy to announce that this is not the case this round. We have obtained victory over Round 2, and I would like to say that I am proud of you all. You all fought wonderfully and no matter if you won or lost your match, Fortitude came out on top."

"If this were Conquest, or I a different troll, I would urge you to keep winning, to keep defeating Conquest, but we are not them and I am not different. Instead I would like to extend a congratulations for this round, and hope you try your hardest next round. Win or lose we can show that we are a cohesive school, here for more than just battle. I am proud of all of you, and just as we were gracious losers, I expect you all to be gracious winners as well."

"I'm sure you have all noticed the extra Raks you have obtained for winning the round, I hope you treat yourseld to something nice. Without further ado I will announce the battles that occurred this round."

Behind her, the battle records appear.

She starts with the Fortitude battles, "I am always proud when there is little fighting within our school, but I do encourage competition, so I would like to congratulate Dahlia for defeating Yuri, and Yuri for defeating Oichi." she applauds a bit.

Next up, the interschool battle, "For those who fought Conquest and won, I would like to congratulate Dave for defeating Marik, England for defeating Suzaku, Dave for defeating Suzaku, Oichi for defeating Suzaku, Dave for defeating Estonia, Marisa for defeating Nephenee, Dave for defeating Gino, and Yuri for defeating Gino." She applauds again.

"My last congratulations go to Dave, Marisa, and Oichi for winning the roung and helping Fortitude achieve victory!" And some more applauding.

The screen behind her changes again, "This round's Players are...

I'm sorry, I thought it was effecting your health, I just want you to be healthy.

Jumping around? No, it just startles me and makes me frightened. And then I get a headache cause I can't remember why it frightens me.

And fighting to get your memories back will help you.

I guess.

I don't like fighting...can't I just stay a weapon?

Well, so much for orientation. Even if he knew what they were doing, Sakuya couldn't help feeling out of place, having just arrived. It felt rather disturbing, being useless, so hopefully he could be of use to one of the Players for their school.

The only problem is that he really didn't know any of them...

Tie still a mess marring his otherwise perfectly pressed uniform, Sakuya stood to one side, trying not to stand out as he considered his options. Unfortunately, white hair and looks like his weren't exactly good for not standing out, though perhaps he'd pass in a school like this with students who were so varied...

What is this? They bring me here, and I'm not even one of the first to fight? [ Yuuka rolls her eyes and crosses her arms under her chest. ] How dull.

[ She can't use her magic. She can't find her umbrella — though it's not like she knows what she does with it, Yuuka misses it all the same.

The only potential upside to all this is that there would be violence and struggles for power and young, innocent children looking to her for guidance... and she was even denied some blood-sport? Sigh. ]

Dahlia was still going about the room, looking for Weapons to vow with to hit that magical six-Weapon mark. Anyone standing alone was fair game.

Seeing Sakuya standing off to the side, she approached him cautiously. "Er... I do so hope you'll excuse me for being so forward, but... Are you one of the Weapons this week?"

Dave glances at his name tag and back at her. He really hopes she's just doing that out of courtesy and not because she legitimately needs to make sure his name was Dave or something.

He gives Dahlia a nod.

Oh, wonderful. He doens't have to stare at her and rack his brain into figuring out what her name is.

They should wear nametags more often. This is something that would actually help. He gives her a surprisingly affectionate hug back.

He's damn pleased to be a Weapon this round.

He looks around before glancing at her. He nodded. He didn't really talk to Becca last round. Not that he was exactly friendly or social in the latter part of the round.

He is giving her the blankest of stares though. Unfortunately. John as a name still doesn't ring a bell. But she said friend. So he must be someone Dave knows. Is that his best friend's name...?

She has to keep up appearances and be all nice and sweet! She laughed slightly. "I'm looking for Weapons. I'd really, truly love to vow with six people quickly enough that I won't have to do battle with anyone. Would you like me to, er... I mean to say, I'm very sorry for imposing so suddenly, but if you're looking for a Player..."

Once again. Once a motherfucking gain, he is left to be a weapon. And who's going to vow with him now? Oichi isn't a player. No one he knows -- other than Karkat but Karkat already said he was in conquest -- is a player. So who the fuck is going to vow with him now?? He isn't going to go beg a human.

If no one approaches him for a couple minutes, he'll just leave.

Even distracted, he caught on to her approach a few moments before she spoke up, and the contemplative look was replaced with a perfectly polite smile.

"Oh, hello," he greeted the girl. "I am. My name is Sakuya Izayoi. You're one of the players, I take it?"

Shion spotted the girl stood alone and went over to her, she looked lost and out of place.] Did you come on the train yesterday?

[Shion blinked as he overheard the girl] You want to fight?

Shion blinked as she began to explain her plan, it sounded similar to what Dave had done at the end of the last round and he nodded once. "I will see if people are happy to join with me, and we can try that."

She nodded. "You only need to find three if I can get a pledge with John. He's got two friends that come with," she explained, squeezing his hand. "I'm glad you're a player this round... I think we'll be okay if we work together."

Well. He looks annoyed. Nonetheless, he also looks interesting, and so far no one else seems to want to approach the troll. Becca walks over and puts on her most confident smile (it isn't great, and looks a little forced).

"Hey. You're a weapon this round? D'you mind having a human player?"

Shion spotted the troll that had been Oichi's weapon as well for the brief time Shion had been. They hadn't spoken but he seemed to be on his own so Shion approached. "Hello Gamzee."

Dave had a way of making Becca uncomfortable without meaning to. Or at least she hoped he wasn't meaning to. She smiled awkwardly and fidgeted, hoping he wasn't silently judging her. "Uhm...I think he's looking for you, actually?"

"Yeah, I'm a motherfucking weapon." His look of irritation doesn't leave his face, and he glares at her. "I mind in all kindsa ways, chica. Unless you've got yourself some wicked strength, don't even ask."

She flinched at his harsh reply, cringing backwards away from him. She looks like she struggles lifting her schoolbooks let alone having anything that would really take strength. "I... I..."

She hung her head and turned to go, deciding it wasn't really worth it. "Well...if no one else asks you... I'll at least give you all your rights," she murmured without even turning back to look at him.

"Yeah. I'll find you when MOTHERFUCKING no one else's vowed with me." He doesn't care about her. If she wasn't even a good fighter, what was much of the point? Unless she had five weapons already, and he'd be the sixth. "And I'm guessing you ain't got five other weapons?"

She turned back. If he wanted to keep talking to her then it was rude to just wander off, she just thought he hadn't wanted to. "No, not yet. But I might be getting three soon. They just need to talk to each other and see if they want to vow with me."

He raises an eyebrow at Shion, wondering idly why he was using his name, despite them never talking. He'd seen him around but hadn't paid him much attention. "Hey. Who the motherfuck is you, again?"
