world meeting, BACKDATED to the rest day
Characters: all of the nations!
Format: either [action] or prose
This log is: relatively closed.
Location: in town, near the lake.
Summary: what it says on the tin.
Warnings: politic-shaped things.
Estonia wasn't exactly known for leading diplomatic discussion, so it was a bit of a sense of pride that she had managed to talk at least what she assumed to be the other nations here into a meeting. Perhaps things wouldn't be so bad here after all, if she could get plenty of recognition and... who was she kidding? She missed her people and her sisters and friends, particularly now that Latvia had gone missing from Conquest. She had Lithuania and Ukraine, at least, so that would have to do.
She's early for the meeting, of course, after having sent everyone reminder messages of it before she left the campus. Don't be late!
((ooc: wow guys, I'm so sorry I never got around to putting this up, due to IRL reasons. but it's up now, feel free to threadhop and enjoy to your hearts' contentment.))

"United States of America." He stated enthusiastically before thrusting a hand towards her.

"Probably because neither of us exists in the other one's timeline." She remarked casually as she shook once, firmly but not in an attempt to test the other's strength, before taking her hand back and wiping it off with a handkerchief beneath the table. All the while never letting the smile on her lips falter. "I guess you could say we're from different worlds."

Oh, wait, that other world stuff again? This was what? The third or fourth time that he's heard something like that? America could feel yet another headache coming on as his mind worked to interpret the logic of others being from a different world. "Ya are?" Normally this fact would either excite him or cause for a bit of confusion. But he's already dealt with enough people making that claim as it is for it to not be much of a novelty anymore. "Wait, how can neither of us exist?" There was going to be even more confusion on his part, he just knew it.

Uniform fixed and appearance perfect once more, Britannia rested her elbow on the table and settled her chin onto her palm. "So you can see why it's impossible for both of us to be nations in the same world."

"Can you please cover your mouth? That's a little gross."
Suddenly, she was starting to feel that she had been far too lenient to those who constantly compared her to this man.

Momentarily distracted from dodging flying chunks of food, Britannia merely decided to push her chair as far away from the table as she could without appearing rude and merely smiled blankly. "Wearing what?"
no subject
Does he really have to resort to pointing? You know he will.

With a sigh, she shrugged.
"If you mean my uniform, this sort of clothing is pretty common where I come from. Since I'm representing my empire, I thought it would be appropriate."

Maybe, he had just met this nation today, and felt that it may or may not be a bit to early to make any comparisons. So he just kept munching on his hamburger. "You should wear something less stuffy. Like what I got on!" Something nice and simple was always better than something complicated after all.

"You're very honest, aren't you?" Read: blunt/rude. "I can't imagine that wins you many friends on a personal level." Because treaties don't count. Those are bonds forged by their bosses.
no subject
"Well yeah! The hero has to be honest after all!" Plus it was in his nature to be. "And I totally make lots of friends!" Then apparently she isn't a very friendly person.

As far as first impressions go, Britannia is not feeling all that favorably towards the man she's quickly coming to see as an idiot. Before she merely thought he was pitiable since her earliest memories of him are as a sullen, frustrated nation unable to break free. In this instance, she can't help but feel it was better he never succeeded in her world. Not if this is what he's going to become and that icy feeling is carrying over to her expression.
"Is that what you are? A hero?"

That response, so enthusiastic and light-hearted makes her laugh a little in reply as she considers the answer. It's such a childish delusion, in her mind, making him seem much younger than he actually is.
Which reminds her, he would technically be another 'big-brother' for her, wouldn't he?
How... awkward. "Do you have a special name to go with that?"
