BRAIDING PARTY! \o/ [OPEN]
Characters: Mei, Gino, pretty much all of Red Dorm, all people.[Initially Mei had only meant to find some string or some ribbon just to tie off Gino's braids, which she had offered to fix. They looked really bad, okay? But then she had stumbled across the art room. What followed could have been dubbed a raid, because the amount of colorful strings and cloth ribbon she had brought back to 1-B with her was... impressive.
Format: [action~]
This log is: Open! Threadjack as you see fit.
Location: 1-B Red
Summary: Braiding party! Mei braids hair! Everyone's hair. EVERYONE'S.
Warnings: Copious amounts of ribbons.
Now she's sitting on her bed in the dorm, cheerfully humming to herself and sorting everything out by color. Blue, green, red, purple, pink. She doesn't need all of this, but she... she couldn't resist, okay? Sitting by the collection is a brush, of course. That's obviously needed for dealing with hair, too.]

[and then he spots the hoard on Mei's bed.]
[wow.]
You think we'll need all of that?
no subject
Huh? Oh. No. It's just the art room had so many choices! [Mei looks down again, embarrassed.] I couldn't help it. I know I took too many, buuut... [She picks up a ribbon a particular shade of blue, one that she thought looked very knightly.] I'm only going to use this kind for yours!
[Yes, Gino. Ribbons. For your hair. Very manly blue ribbons.]
no subject
Eh? Why not just string...
no subject
There's string, too. [Mei puts the ribbon down and motions to the collection of colorful string, which does include just simple black or beige twine, but those are so boring!] But the ribbon would look nicer.
no subject
[So she did what any normal person would do when walking by an open door with people in it, she looked inside.]
[Oooh, look at all the color ribbons. She tugs on her own messy braids, she'd been doing something wrong but couldn't figure out what]
[But for now she's just loitering by the door and peeking in]
no subject
Okay, you win.
[this capitulation is not at all influenced by him noticing Yuki in the doorway. Nope.]
no subject
Alright! [Mei takes the ribbon again and sets it and two of the same color aside. Now that the braids are in easy reach, she sets about picking whatever mess Gino has tried to keep them up as apart.] Did you forget how to braid? Or did someone else always do it?
[She hasn't noticed Yuki just yet.]
no subject
[But it's rude to just walk into someone else's room uninvited]
[So. She's still standing in the doorway]
no subject
Right the first time. I can't remember at all. Weird thing for them to take, huh?
[with Mei tugging at his hair, he can't move his head to look back at Yuki, but he gives her a salute in profile anyway.] Yo! You're in here too?
no subject
Really weird! Though I'd be so sad if I had lost that memory...
[Mei finishes unbraiding, or whatever he calls that mess of knots he'd put his hair into, and picks the brush up. Hm. Snarls. She separates the hair into sections and holds the first by the part closest to Gino's neck, to keep hairs from being painfully pulled while she brushes through those snags.]
[She looks up at the door for a second, too.]
Hi, Miss Yuki!
no subject
Hello, [she waves to the two and takes a step into the room] my room is across the hall, I didn't mean to interrupt anything.
[she goes over and examines all the ribbons] These are really pretty.
no subject
This is just Weapon maintenance. Right, Mei?
no subject
[She nods in agreement at her assessment of the ribbons.]
Yeah, they are! I found them in the art room. I hope no one misses them all...
[brushbrushbrush~]
no subject
[she keeps looking at the ribbons]
The school can get more.
[she looks over at them]
Would you like to braid a few ribbons into my hair?
no subject
[now that he's looking, he can see that her braids are messily done, though they're still presentable. She must've found someone to help her that morning.
Maybe it's some form of bizarre psychological warfare.]
no subject
[Of all the bizarre things for a mysterious kidnapper organization to dislike.]
Well, don't worry! I can fix your braids, too, Yuki! Pick out what ribbons you want!
[Mei finishes brushing the tangles out of Gino's hair and parts it into three sections again. She takes the first section and moves the rest over his shoulder to keep it out of the way. Time to work on braid number one!]
Oh. Hey, Yuki, you said you knew a lot about this game, right?
no subject
Yes, where I'm from we played a similar game.
no subject
Yeah, except, in Yuki's game, you wouldn't be allowed to be a Player.
no subject
[braidbraidbraid]
Huh? [and pause.] Why not?
no subject

[she looks away from the ribbons and over at the two of them]
Yes, only males could be Players.
no subject
[tips his head back to give himself some give on the braids, then turns towards Yuki. They both need to lose those expressions, ASAP.]
You think they'll try to do that here?
no subject
[But later! Mei ties off the first braid with a piece of blue ribbon and starts weaving together the second braid.]
It won't matter if they try. I've never needed a Weapon to beat up a bunch of stupid boys.
[so there, nyeh]
