Format: Prose? Or action if you guys want
This log is: Closed
Location: Town
Summary: Lelouch worked out that you could Link between schools, so they bought link charms
Warnings: Harbingers of doom?
"Thank you." Suzaku nodded at Recette and followed Lelouch out of the shop, looking at the strange looking necklace in his hands.

He hadn't been sure that they would be allowed to buy one. After all the rules seemed very clear on only being able to vow to those from your own school. Yet the part about links was vague; so they had bought one.

"Are you sure this is going to work?"

"If it were strictly disallowed or we were incapable of doing so, it would be just as clear in the manual as it is about everything else. Instead, it doesn't address the cross-school issue at all. If we are able to generate a star from each other, then we should be able to create a Link." Sometimes more was said by not saying something than by saying it.

"We'll use them at the coffee shop," he said, leading Suzaku that direction once they'd left the store.

Lelouch wasn't sure why he had felt the way he did when Feferi drew Suzaku's weapon, and it was a star. But he moved on, and to be honest, he was still tired from the battle. He was very interested in sitting for a bit and enjoying some coffee before moving on with their day.

As the Player in this equation, he led the way into the coffee shop and purchased drinks for them, and then on to a table.

He sat with a leg crossed at the knee, leaning slightly to one side. He didn't seem to mind that his foot extended under the table and touched Suzaku's leg. "So why do you think she pulled a star from you?" His tone was even, and he sipped from his coffee cup after he finished.

"Well, since you have pulled a star from me, and she has pulled from you, would you consider that there's some similarities?" He was still cool as ever, but not really cold. He wasn't sure why he was reacting this way either.

"Hmmm," he responded, still appearing impassive. "I suppose we need more data before we can put a finger on what the reason for the stars are at this point. Once we know that, we can move on."

"Yes, as time goes on we'll have greater opportunities. I can't get impatient," he finally seemed to settle a bit. He plainly was not accustomed to idle moments like these.

He pulled his half of the Link charm out of his pocket, and examined it. After a moment, and without a word, he put it on and hid it under his shirt.

Santana was at the coffee shop well before Suzaku and Lelouch stepped in and stayed around to make sure that they weren't plotting any inter-school shenanigans. After Dolorosa's tower was attacked they were all a bit on edge about that. So, like any good Prefect, she eavesdropped on their conversation about the stars and smirked about how they haven't figured it out yet. Not that she was the one to figure it out in her session, but whatever.

Then the link charms came out, Suzaku put his on before she could stop him, leaving her angrily standing at their table, "How gay are you two? I can't believe you just linked you just linked with someone from Fortitude," she spat at Suzaku before turning to Lelouch, "And you, you're a Prefect now, you need to help fuel the rivalry."

Lelouch glanced up at her, and he didn't look at all like her accusation meant anything. In fact, he looked rather amused. "I'd consider looking so narrowly on our situation to be rather short-sighted."
