Ah, hello, everyone. In case you're new to this island, my name is Lelouch, and I am a Fortitude school Prefect.

I wanted to take a moment and extend an invitation to everyone from both schools. I find myself suffering from a lack of chess opponents. And if that is what it takes, I will also provide lessons to people, though they will not be free.

If anyone would like to discuss this in person with me, I will be in the coffee shop most of the afternoon. I am available to address other concerns from Fortitude students as well, should that be necessary. Conquest students, I'm afraid you'll have to try your luck with Santana's group.

There is nothing random about this system th leaves anything to chance. Every vow, every battle leads inexorably toward a single goal. [Did it feel like you were talking to a different person than before?]

[ Yes, this Lelouch is definitely different from the one he's spoken with before... It's a good difference. He's more focused on finding an answer to what's going on, a way of dismantling the system. Still, he's not sure what to make of this Lelouch. He'll have to learn more.

A single goal... Yes, there must be some goal behind these battles. Behind bringing so many people here and forcing them into these roles. Behind the resetting cycles. Golbez doesn't have anything to say to that; he simply waits for Lelouch to go on. ]

I am going to find out what that is and I am going to dismantle it. I will not let their altering of my memories stand unanswered. [Yeah that's kind of a sore spot.]

The biggest difficulty I have is information. I can count on you to share anything you may discover?

[ He folds his arms over his chest and looks a bit disgruntled when Lelouch mentions the word "memories". Yeah, that's something that's rather upset Golbez as well. ]

Naturally. The only hope we have of success lies in working together. Whatever information I uncover will be yours.

[Nod.] Very good. Though I suggest you work at improving your discretion.

[ He doesn't respond to that; he figured out a few days ago that his method of going about things wouldn't really work here. ]

Speaking of indiscretion, did you wind up learning anything more about the attack on Dolorosa's tower?

No, I have not. I believe there are some relevant gaps in the memories of some of the others from my world.

...inconvenient. If you require assistance obtaining enough money for their memory charms...

Suzaku and I have both regained some of our memories, and it can be a rather distressing experience. Regaining too many at once may be far too traumatic for someone to take.

[ He nods. He hasn't experienced that yet, but it's not surprising to hear. ] I'll leave that to you, then. If I obtain any information regarding the attack, you'll be the first to know. [ Barring anything else he finds out about Lelouch's true intentions -- he's not about to say that, though. ]
