John thought about it, on Sunday, and decided that even a week of not being able to hug or poke or tap one of his friends on the shoulder was too much. Why did both Jade and Dave have to be Players?

Well, they'd been sneaking out better food for him, and even if he really couldn't do anything but chill in his room, or Dave's room, or Jade and Vriska's room, it was ok. He could touch his friends and not get hurt for it.

Today (whichever day today is), at this meal (whichever meal this is), he's just sitting at the Discard table, picking at the bland icky food he's forced to eat and looking rather content with his lot, everything aside.

He wouldn't turn down any conversation.

John grins a little and shakes his head.

nah, i decided not to vow with anyone this round.
because jade and dave are both players, and if i vow with one of them, i can't touch the other one!
and that would suck ass.

He takes a bite of his plain food - it's not great, but it's not horrible at least. And it's filling, so he doesn't have to go hungry or anything.

"Oh..." Shion blinked but nodded, he understood that motive, it wouldn't be nice to not be able to even touch one of your friends. He didn't offer John any food, not that he didn't want to. In fact it was so hard not to. But he knew they would both just end up getting punished for it.

He would not care if it was just himself, but he didn't want John punished as well.

"Well at least you can be with both of them this way."

John doesn't mind - Jade and Dave have been slipping him better food, and he can go a meal or two without something fancy. John nods enthusiastically in response to Shion's comment, because it allows him to keep eating as he watches Shion speaking.

...Om nom nom? Sorry he's not too chatty, Shion.

Shion doesn't mind, he eats as well falling silent. When he finished he waited for John to finish, not wanting to keep him from his meal by talking to him.
