Summary: Kallen and Meryl try and fail to escape.
Warnings: Possibly strong language near the end
Well, this was... too easy. What was keeping everyone from just walking out again? There weren't even any guards around. Meryl arrived a bit early, thinking there'd be a fight, but instead just ended up waiting. Kallen would be here soon enough, so hopefully noone would see her by then.
In the meantime, she couldn't help but start to wonder. Would anyone really believe her story? Would she really be able to rescue everyone else? Hell, she was still technically supposed to be dead.
No, Meryl couldn't think that way. If nobody else would help them, then she would. But she needed to escape first.
By the time Kallen showed up, Meryl was growing anxious about what they were doing. This may have been easy, but too much was riding on it.

"Hey." The teenager kept her voice low. "You ready?"
