[it's kind of disorienting to wake up in an unfamiliar place, especially when you don't remember going to sleep at all. and it really feels like I've slept for forever.

blinks a little, confused when faced with a white ceiling, before looking around in an... empty room?]

[He nodded again and moved to sit on the chair next to the bed. Prepared to stay as long as she wanted.]

[He blinks at her apology and then after a moment nods.] I am sorry too Nunnally... [For so many things... but mainly for almost killing her with FLEIJA]

[shakes her head] You have nothing to be sorry about, Suzaku-san.

[He looked down, he did...] While you were unconscious, I regained a memory... I had forgotten that I had fired FLEIJA... You almost died because of my actions. [And all the other things, some more hazy than others.]

I know... [She wasn't, but millions of others were and she almost had been...] Yet you could have been...

[No one else should... Suzaku blinked. So Nunnally took after her older brother, prepared to take all the sins of the world onto her shoulders in order to protect others.

She had grown up. Not just from the seven year old girl they had carried through the ruins of Japan but from the girl who he had met at Ashford. The last year had changed her, Suzaku felt guilty for that.]

I think only he can tell you why he did it, but it was to create a peaceful world. I can only hope we succeeded, or succeed... I don't understand how time works here...
