Summary: Class is in session and it promises to be adorable.

[Today, students who meant to attend Rafiel's class (which up until this point has been purely textbook, video and oral based,) will probably be surprised to find the classroom door is closed with a note taped to it.

Should they choose to do so, when they get to the arena the area seems unusually... noisy. Especially since there's no battle going at the moment. Get closer to the center of the stadium and they'll find the arena's gates have been shut but are currently unlocked, presumably to allow students in. Beyond that, however, are... puppies. Everywhere. Yapping, tumbling all over each other or napping and being harassed by their siblings and fellow furry kinsmen. There's a shallow kiddie pool on the far end filled with water, presumably to keep them hydrated, and above that in the stands and surrounded by a plethora of napping dogs is Rafiel who seems to be singing quietly to keep the ones around him calm.

Beside him are various boxes which, at a first glance, seem to be filled with anything and everything you could ever need to take care of one of the furballs running around behind the gate. (The dog treats have been hidden in air-tight containers at the bottom.)

Welcome to the hands-on portion of puppy training.]

[ooc: This log is open to anyone from either Conquest or Fortitude, students and teachers alike. (Although, only Fortitudians will be able to keep their puppy companion. Conquesters looking to do the same will have to start attending his class.) If you you have a preferred puppy breed, feel free to bring it in. (Real or otherwise.) If not, pick one from the list! After which, go nuts. Mingle, threadjack, hold competitions, bicker about whose puppy is cuter and hold races. ~~I'll pretend I know what I'm doing.~~]

no it's okay she's already tripped over and imprinted on this creature. ]

S-she's so soft. Is it okay to hold her?

[ Jade is standing beside her, staring at all the puppies

oh my god the one in the corner Jade wants it

It's probably the first time she's outright grinned at anything since arriving in Rakuen. ]

Puppies are supposed to be picked up!

[ And Jade walks over to the shy puppy in the corner, offering him her hand. He sniffs it, then wags his tail, giving it a lick. ]

They are..? [ WELL THEN. She follows Jade's behaviour and ends up with an armful of puppy. It seems to be a little drugged on Rafiel's singing so it isn't that alarmed by this. ]

Uwah!

[Puppies AND Sora? What a great combination.]

I think it would be okay to, that's why you're here, right?

[she says while hold this adorable baby]

Yeah, you're right! [ SCOOPS IT UP.

In precisely the way Rafiel showed them, too. No one can say she isn't a great kinestetic learner. ]

Is this a class on your campus? [she pets her happy puppy] Such a nice class.

It's Puppy Training. Mr. Rafiel teaches it! [ yes omg it is the best class apart from the physical ones ]

That one really likes you. Maybe he'll let you train it, Yuki!

[and she really likes the puppy too] But I think I heard something about only Fortitude students can keep their puppies, since you have the class and the training.

We can ask him! [ puppy in one arm, takes Yuki's arm with her free hand OFF WE GO ]

[You can't miss him, he's the guy with wings who's currently entertaining a small Pomeranian puppy on his lap over by the toy boxes.]

Rafiel! [hi hi hi your student has captured both puppy and girlfriend]

Can Yuki look after this puppy? She's in Conquest but if that's a problem, I'll look after it too!

[Rafiel's song comes to an abrupt pause when Sora comes over, making the puppy in his lap flip right-side up and tail wag as he glances up at the two girls. As he gives Sora a smile and a demure nod of his head in greeting, his gaze goes to her friend and- impossibly- softens a touch more.]

Hello again. [The greeting is polite, soft and (as always) gently musical in tone.] I'm sorry, it never occurred to me that people from Conquest would be interested as well. I'd be happy to let the two of you stay together, [he gestures to the puppy and Yuki] if you're alright with attending my class regularly.

Oh, um. I would need to get permission to go to Fortitude, I can ask Dolorosa. I'm sure she wouldn't mind. I'll go to your class if it doesn't interfere with my other classes.

[Rafiel seems to consider that for a moment before he thinks of something.]

Would it be easier for you if I continued to hold class in town?

[she brightens]

Yes! That would be much easier!

Uh huh. [ Taiwan's a new face around these parts, but that doesn't stop her from approaching Sora. With her hands behind her back, she leans in to look at her puppy more closely. ] Are you gonna give her a name?

A name... [hmmm she's so bad with names. She's good with friendly smiles though, have one of those.] She looks like a Reiko to me! What do you think?

Eh? That sounds more like a person than a puppy! [ She laughs, though. ] But I think she'll appreciate that sort of name. It's good!

It's the name of one of my friends from my old school! [ she bounces the newly-named puppy in her arms and it yips. ] She was a really strong person, so I hope this helps the puppy grow into a strong dog, too!

Ah, do you have one yet?

I see. So it means a lot to you, then... [ She watches the puppy until Sora asks her a question. ]

Me? Oh, well, I just got here, so I don't know if I should get one right away... Are students from Fortitude allowed to have one?

Ah, that's lucky! I'm in Fortitude too. [ it's not clear whose tail is wagging more: hers or the puppy's.

Not that she has a tail but metaphors are metaphors

ANYWAY takes your hand and tugs you towards the crowd of puppies around Rafiel ]

Let's find you a partner!

Ooh, that's go-- [ And she's suddenly being pulled towards puppies! ] Huh!? But I just showed up in class--are you sure the teacher mind?

Rafiel? Don't worry, he's really nice. [ tug tug ] I'm Sora, by the way!

Okay, if you say so... [ Almost trips over a puppy, but she avoids it! ] I'm Taiwan!
