Class - Puppy Training!

Summary: Class is in session and it promises to be adorable.

[Today, students who meant to attend Rafiel's class (which up until this point has been purely textbook, video and oral based,) will probably be surprised to find the classroom door is closed with a note taped to it.



Should they choose to do so, when they get to the arena the area seems unusually... noisy. Especially since there's no battle going at the moment. Get closer to the center of the stadium and they'll find the arena's gates have been shut but are currently unlocked, presumably to allow students in. Beyond that, however, are... puppies. Everywhere. Yapping, tumbling all over each other or napping and being harassed by their siblings and fellow furry kinsmen. There's a shallow kiddie pool on the far end filled with water, presumably to keep them hydrated, and above that in the stands and surrounded by a plethora of napping dogs is Rafiel who seems to be singing quietly to keep the ones around him calm.

Beside him are various boxes which, at a first glance, seem to be filled with anything and everything you could ever need to take care of one of the furballs running around behind the gate. (The dog treats have been hidden in air-tight containers at the bottom.)

Welcome to the hands-on portion of puppy training.]


[ooc: This log is open to anyone from either Conquest or Fortitude, students and teachers alike. (Although, only Fortitudians will be able to keep their puppy companion. Conquesters looking to do the same will have to start attending his class.) If you you have a preferred puppy breed, feel free to bring it in. (Real or otherwise.) If not, pick one from the list! After which, go nuts. Mingle, threadjack, hold competitions, bicker about whose puppy is cuter and hold races. I'll pretend I know what I'm doing.]

[Becca is trying desperately to get the attention of some adorable little fluffball that would fit in her school bag. This dog has other ideas, and bowls her over to sit on her back and begin licking her hair. She flails uselessly, and reaches out for Shion's ankles.]

Shion, help!

[Shion looked over and gave a small laugh] He likes you Becca! [He stroked the dog that was still trying to lick Becca. Distracting it so that Becca could sit up.]

[Becca squirmed out from underneath the dog and sat up, blinking a few times and staring at the massive creature that had decided she needed protection.]

That's not a dog. That's a horse crossed with a bear wearing a dog's face.

[Shion laughs and strokes the dog more his own dog nudged his arm wanting attention.]

Whatever it is, it's decided to be your friend.

[Becca pats it tentatively. It nuzzles into her and starts licking her face]

Eeep!

[Shion's puppy meanwhile had claimed Shion's lap, but was sitting calmly.] Pet it, it just wants your attention!

[Becca starts stroking it confusedly, and it starts nuzzling into her hands, eager for her love.]

[Shion smiled.] See. It is your friend! What will you call it?

[pencilpremonition]

...Monster. He's one monster dog.

[savedbyasong]

[Shion smiled at the name, he suposed it was a fitting name and he scratched Monster's ears. Monster, in total contrast to his name wagged his tail and flopped over.

Shion's attention went back to his own dog.] I will call him...

[He frowned, unable to think of a name. He usually called them after character but... He raised a hand to his head as his head started pounding.]

[Now that he's flopped over, Monster is a bit less threatening to Becca. She starts rubbing his sides and belly and fussing over him properly.]

Mop. Call him Mop.

[savedbyasong]

Mop... [Not a name Shion would have chosen but the headache was still there so he nodded.] Mop it is! [Scratching Mop's ears.]

He looks like one.

[Laughing and loving on Monster.]

I guess he does. [Shion smiled and scratched Mop's belly.]
