Class - Puppy Training!

Summary: Class is in session and it promises to be adorable.

[Today, students who meant to attend Rafiel's class (which up until this point has been purely textbook, video and oral based,) will probably be surprised to find the classroom door is closed with a note taped to it.



Should they choose to do so, when they get to the arena the area seems unusually... noisy. Especially since there's no battle going at the moment. Get closer to the center of the stadium and they'll find the arena's gates have been shut but are currently unlocked, presumably to allow students in. Beyond that, however, are... puppies. Everywhere. Yapping, tumbling all over each other or napping and being harassed by their siblings and fellow furry kinsmen. There's a shallow kiddie pool on the far end filled with water, presumably to keep them hydrated, and above that in the stands and surrounded by a plethora of napping dogs is Rafiel who seems to be singing quietly to keep the ones around him calm.

Beside him are various boxes which, at a first glance, seem to be filled with anything and everything you could ever need to take care of one of the furballs running around behind the gate. (The dog treats have been hidden in air-tight containers at the bottom.)

Welcome to the hands-on portion of puppy training.]


[ooc: This log is open to anyone from either Conquest or Fortitude, students and teachers alike. (Although, only Fortitudians will be able to keep their puppy companion. Conquesters looking to do the same will have to start attending his class.) If you you have a preferred puppy breed, feel free to bring it in. (Real or otherwise.) If not, pick one from the list! After which, go nuts. Mingle, threadjack, hold competitions, bicker about whose puppy is cuter and hold races. I'll pretend I know what I'm doing.]

Not if properly trained and cared for... but I see what you mean. Well, dirty can be taken care of, and slobbery... well, it's not so bad if they're clean. Relatively speaking, at least...

I guess that's what this class is for...

[ She glances unsurely at the dogs. Ugh, she really hates dogs. ]

I'm sure they're all friendly... actually, puppies in general tend not to really know how to be anything but friendly.

[He tries whistling to see if any of the puppies will respond, but it seems they're all too busy running around playing with each other to notice.]

Shall we go over and see one?

[traces]

I suppose so. I wouldn't want to make Mr. Rafiel upset.

[ She starts in the direction of the puppies, and one particularly boisterous little terrier stops its romping to turn toward her. She freezes. ]

[Sakuya smiles as they head over, but he keep an eye on the puppies. When he sees that one look their way and Dahlia freeze, he takes another step forwards, inserting himself partly between her and the puppy as naturally as possible before crouching down, holding out a hand and motioning the puppy over]

C'mere, boy... or girl, hmm. Well, come!

[traces]

[ The puppy yips and trots right up to Sakuya. At least someone appreciates dogs. It nuzzles up against his hand, then starts licking it.

Dahlia recoils. How unsanitary. ]

Haha... [Sakuya just smiles and pets the puppy, letting it lick him. Paying attention to it as he is, he hasn't noticed her reaction.]

See? It's pretty friendly.
