I know one of you out there has my bracelet. Don't start thinking I can't track you down without your name. This is a small place, and you have some unique features.

If you give it back, I'll keep your habit of climbing through windows our little secret. If you don't ... well, I have no reason to do you any more favors.

It's golden in color, though I don't know what metal it's made of. There's a design carved into it made of diamonds and ovals. Is that ringing any bells?

I'm sure the real thief would say the same thing.

Wouldn't a fake thief say that too? Or would they say they had seen it?

... I'm not sure, but something about that just doesn't feel right! But I'm kind of curious now!

... My point is, a thief wouldn't have any reason to not lie about it!

I thought the thief was supposed to say increasingly elaborate and fanciful things in order to distract the detective from their true purpose. At least, that's how it works on TV shows!

[Shortly after posting the above, Sora realizes that she is, in fact, saying increasingly elaborate and fanciful things.]

Um... if it helps, I'm not even sure which window is yours?

... The last time I heard anyone say weird elaborate things during a case, it was a pompous witness and not actually the real criminal.

I already know who the thief is, miss, and it's not you. At this point, I'm hoping they'll accept my offer instead of making this more of a pain for the both of us.

Wouldn't know since I'm not a the thief.

[Also, he's starting to get seriously uncomfortable with having this conversation on here.] Look- can we do this in person?

... Fine, that works for me. You pick the place and I'll be there.

In front of Recette's at dusk. We'll figure out what happened there.

Alright, that's a good spot. See you then.

[And at around the arranged meeting time, Yuri shows up in his school uniform with his prefect's beret balanced on top of his head. At his feet a dog trails behind him, tongue out and lolling as it sniffs here and there but never wandering too far.]

[Apollo arrives shortly after Yuri does, a little bemused by seeing the dog that's sticking by him. It doesn't look like much of an attack dog, but Apollo opts to not get too close anyway.]

Okay, so we're here. I take it you have some sort of good excuse for why you didn't steal it?

[That's a shame, Apollo, cause Lambert has no such reservations and runs at the other man, barking excitedly and sniffing at the lawyer's feet before putting his paws on the man's thighs, eagerly seeking pets. He's a friendly sort, liable to get his white hair everywhere, but otherwise quite affectionate.

Yuri, in true dry fashion, shakes his head.] Traitor. [The word is affectionately muttered as the swordsman digs into his pocket, pulls out a bag and walks forward, offering it to Apollo to see. If he looks inside, he'll see it's nearly bursting with raks, numbering well into the thousands.]

I'm not exactly poor enough to have to steal things to get by. [Then he's rolling back his sleeve to reveal his own bracelet, a wry look in his eyes.] I also don't need another one. That good enough for you?

Someone stole somethin' from you?

Yeah. They took that gold bracelet I always wear.

How'd they do that?

[notabunnylawyer]

I keep it on my nightstand when I'm sleeping. One night, I woke up and it was just gone. I'm certain it was there before I went to bed, and I've already looked everywhere I could think of for it.

Did you check your other pants pockets dude?

[notabunnylawyer]

Come on, my bracelet is huge! If it were in a pocket somewhere, it'd be hard to not notice it.
