[Video- Friday Morning] {Exaclan Warning Mini-Event}

[At 8AM on Friday there is a very unhappy looking Cirno showing up on the video feed. She did not want to do this but she had no other choice. It looks like she mumbles something but it's hard to see before she straightens up and stares into the camera, Her voice as authoritative as she could make it.]

Somebody in Rakuen has fallen below zero raks. The penalty will now commence.


[The first victim is Jade Harley (AU). From there, once every hour a different person will be selected for a five-minute warning penalty until Jadesprite has zero or more raks. In order, the following victims include 9AM: Golbez, 10AM David Strider, 11AM Stellaluna, 12NOON: Dave Strider AU, 1PM Dirk Strider, 2PM Jane Crocker

As each victim is affected, they will appear on the Exaclan viewing screens and on computers connected to the network. Feel free to thread that out here, or in a new post if you would prefer.

There is no IC indication of who the culprit is unless she confesses to it herself.]

[ It's probably Dirk's fault for weighing the probability wrong.

Even if he was targeted again, what are the odds it would be at the exact same time of day he was hit last time?

Pretty high, it seems. He'll just be over there in the Fortitude gym's pool, thrashing and flailing underwater. ]

[The levels of stupid is basically off the charts. It's out of orbit.

Your hero is an idiot fourteen year old who just ran as quickly as he could and jumped into the pool, clothes and everything. Not only is this the most ridiculous image, it is pretty sad because Dave can't swim that well. He's mastered, maybe at best, the doggy paddle. But he's really good at sinking. Super good at it. He's not as scared to jump into the water though, even if he's all kinds of panicking right now.

But he grabs your arm and pulls you close. If there's one thing he's learned, you can still hit the surface if you push off hard enough from the bottom of the pool. So he does this.

He pushes off at an angel so when they resurface again, he can grab hold of the edge of the pool. He's not even sure which grip is tighter, the one on Dirk's arm or the one on the ledge.

[ Dirk is all sorts of panicking. He'd tried to gasp for breath underwater and the water rushing into his lungs had only made it worse. So he's pretty disoriented and close to passing out when Dave grabs him -- Did someone grab him? Is he hallucinating? -- and then his head is above the water and he's coughing up water and sputtering and scrambling to pull himself out.

Your name is DIRK STRIDER and you are EXTREMELY COOL ALL OF THE TIME WITHOUT EXCEPTION. ]

[Dave kind of just...stuck to the edge. His brain was catching up to the sheer stupidity of his actions.

It's kind of got him glued to the spot. Dirk could have died. And he could have died too. And...the memory of Bro dying just kind of hit him full on again. If Dirk was some alternate version of Bro.

Ok no. Stop. Stop thinking. It's not like Dirk is dead. You don't know this Bro fella. Even if they seem a lot like Sis. Or whatever. Gosh the edge of the pool is so awesome right now.]

[ He pulls himself up and practically coughs his lungs up, which is a good thing because they are kind of full of water. This time he's not even being cool about it, he's just moaning in pain and clutching at his head and he wants it to stop fuck why is it happening again. He doesn't even notice Dave right now, honestly. ]

[Dave reaches up to try and rub Dirk's back in hopefully a soothing way. It's a little awkward since he hasn't quite climbed out of the pool yet, just waiting for Dirk to get his bearings together.]

[ Oh. That helps a bit, and doesn't turn his head into a living fog machine like it did when Jake tried to comfort him in much the same way last week. Dirk wheezes a bit as he gasps for breath, just curled up right there on his hands and knees at the edge of the pool.

Once the headache subsides, he finally gets a grip on where he is, who he's with, and what just happened. He made a complete moron of himself in front of Dave again. Whatever cruel fate controls this city apparently loves to see that happen. He just glances over at the younger boy, eyes a bit dull with the fear that comes with the realization that he almost just died holy shit. ]

I owe you one.

[Dave doesn't say anything. He kind of just crawls out of the pool, shivering. Hells bells it's cold. Also, he might just be shaking slightly because, holy fuck he jumped into the pool and holy shit they could have died.

He just kind of sits there with Dirk. He kind of dropped his PDA as soon as he saw what happened. Thank god he was just in the room. He didn't have to go looking for that shit at least.

So he kind of just shrugs. Like this ain't nothing. That this wasn't just kind of terrifying as hell.

Or at least, maybe Dirk could fish his shades out of the pool. They fell off when he kind of just jumped in. He looks over the edge to see they've sunk to the bottom. Motherfucking balls. He keeps his eyes downcast though. He can't remember if Dirk ever saw him without them on. Wow, this is the worst time to be self conscious.]

[ Dirk would go save Dave's glasses. At some point. Right now he's too busy recovering from a near-death experience.

Huh, is this the first time he's seen Dave without his glasses? He sort of peers curiously. Are Dave's eyes red? Not that Dirk's really one to think that's weird. ]

Wish I could congratulate you on your newfound [ cough ] swimming ability, but I don't remember a thing.

[He keeps his head down as he grabs Dirk's hand, to write in his palm. He'd sign, but he's still shaking like nuts and to sign, would require looking at Dirk.

He can't look at Dirk if he's trying to stare a hole into Dirk's palm.]

'That's because I didn't. I just used the bottom of the pool to push up. There was no swimming involved. I used my best ability. Sinking like the dumbest rock.'

[ Oh, this again. It's less weird than the last time Dave did it, though. It's easier to make himself calm down when he's focusing on making out the letters as Dave traces them. ]

Eh, you still saved my skin so I'll take it. And we all gotta start somewhere.

'Yea. I didn't really want you to die. It kind of sucks.'

[Says the teenager who actually did drown to death. So he kind of just freaked at the thought of Dirk dying the same way. Plus, he still had that charm about Bro on his bracelet.]

[ No shit. That had been the worst moment of Dirk's life tbh. ]

'Shut up, holy shit. It would be fucked up if I just let you drown like that. No one needs to know how that is.'

[It's not like he kind of cares. Gosh.]

[ Not really much else to say. He just stays there, catching his breath and wheezing. ]

[Dave just shivers a bit.]

'How 'bout we just head back?' [They can get his shades later or something.] 'Grab food? I don't know. Not be here would be nice.'

Sure. Let me go get dressed.

[ He pushes himself up to his feet. He should actually shower first, but he'd really rather have nothing to do with... that H2O stuff for a while. ]

[Dave just shivers and waits for Dirk to go get changed. He'll just change as soon as they get back to the dorms. Those pajamas he arrived in first sure seem pretty comfy now. He has no idea why he was wearing them, but he wants them now.]
