dude he's like in a coma
Characters: Kotarou, visitorsThe room is small, one of the minor rooms set aside for students who aren't in the infirmary for a scraped knee or a cold. There are several metal chairs scattered around the room, as well as a single table and a curtain that can be pulled around the bed if need be. The bed itself swamps the boy lying in it, with white sheets and a faded green coverlet; a monitor is within reach on the bedside unit. It beeps every minute, on the dot, to let the nurse know his charge is still alive. Despite this and the drip in his arm, visitors are assured that he will wake up with no negative side-effects within a few days.
Format: any
This log is: open
Location: one of the infirmary rooms.
Summary: After this battle, Kotarou is transferred to the infirmary to recover from his Exaclan-induced coma. This log covers the three days he's out, and his waking up after that. Depending on 'when' you visit, he might not respond, but feel free to mingle around the unconscious kid.
Warnings: moar trauma. Copious angst. Possibly people will get punched.

She hated using this world's terminology but... "How could you protect him? He... you were fighting against him. He wasn't your... 'weapon'." Objectifying the young boy like that was just wrong.

What had Lelouch always, only those who are prepared to shoot should be shot at. This school seemed to work to the opposite ideal. "What kind of place... who would..."
"He's only a child..." He had to be alright...

Knight of Zero, protect Lelouch, yes that was it, and leave Kotarou to her. Suzaku recognised her tone; he nodded. Yes he had to protect Lelouch, and Euphemia and Nunnally. Those that were able to protect others had to help each other, so that together they could protect everyone and escape together.
"We will get out of here!" It was a promise, a wish, a cry of desperation. Kotarou had to get better, they had to regain their memories and they had to escape.

'Little princess... is that any way to behave?'
Huashi felt like whining, but she screwed her eyes shut harder and glared at the nonexistent voice. Daddy wasn't here. Yu Long wasn't here. Kotarou was her friend anyway.
'But you're not the only one who cares about him... You may be the closest, but not the only one...'
What did that matter! All they'd done was---
'Not all non-monkey adults destroy, hurt and injure, little princess.'
It wasn't she who'd eaten Xuanzang's horse, now was it!
Then she jerked awake and looked around, but no. Alone. Stupid brain conuring Yu Long. If it had been Xuanzang she could ahve ignored him. He was always annoyed and disappointed with her anyway! With a narrow glare at the door, Huashi uncurled herself and launched across the room, opening the door to stare at Kallen and Suzaku.
"Come in if you want to." Then she turned around, letting the door stay open, and jumped back on the bed again, hugging her knees to her chest. Now her brain could stop being stupid.

She sat up and stretched for a moment before holding her hand out to Suzaku, offering it. "Come on."

The ex-pilot look a step towards Haushi. "How is he doing?"

"The nurse says he's fine. I think he's lying... Unconcious people wake up soon, and that 'nurse' said he'd be out days! That's not fine!" Huashi complained, but kept her real fear quiet. She'd never seen an unconcious person be unconcious for days... Either you woke up, or you didn't...

The Merciful Goddess... She had helped, helped Huashi see her daddy when he was gone, then helped heal her back, but she'd said Daddy wouldn't be hurt, and that was a lie too. They lied all the time, so why, how, could she trust that woman? But... she could think of Kotarou as in the same situation when daddy had been gone. He had come back. So Huashi tried to smother the fear of death and squeezed the slack fingers.
"But I can't do anything..." And that was worse in her mind. Belief only got you so far, after all.

"I'm sorry Kotarou..."

"The Exaclan manual states that just this sort of thing can happen if a Weapon is severely damaged or broken," he said. "He'll awaken in a few days, and be himself again after a few more." He sounded a bit cold, but since he hadn't been surprised by the reaction, it stood to reason. "It's all a part of the programming of this school."

He clenched his fists slightly, "Who are they? How do we bring them down?" It was more to himself, he knew Lelouch didn't have the answers but he was angry and upset.
