Characters: Apollo and anyone
Format: Any
This log is: Open
Location: Conquest campus or in town
Summary: Apollo's developed a daily routine, but he's still not mentally settled in yet. (Make sure to note the location and time in the subject line or in your post, please!)
Warnings: None yet
In the time since he'd arrived here, Apollo had started to slowly adjust to life in Rakuen. Suddenly being expected to teach a class was one of the hardest parts, and he still didn't have anything like real lessons or even a real plan for them. So far he'd been lecturing on whatever he thought was relevant, taking it a few days at a time until he could get a better handle on it. It was almost, almost enough to make him miss how slow work had been at the Wright Anything Agency, but on the other hand a daily pay check was awfully nice, even if it was in the strange currency here.
So Apollo was spending most of his time either in his classroom or in his dorm, venturing out for walks occasionally to help him get his bearings. That it was so similar to a normal college town made it a little easier, though the incongruous parts of it like the arena helped remind him of exactly why he didn't want to be here. At least he couldn't complain about the free rent.

Giving the other man the fierce glare he usually put on in court, Apollo shuffled towards the foot of the bed to get closer to him, gripping the pillow tightly. "That's a shoddy defense. Our front door here is working fine. So let me rephrase that: why are you going to the trouble of sneaking into the building?!"
Apollo feels that he's entitled to a few answers. After all, if the laws here were anything like back home, he was probably trespassing by being in a room not assigned to him. In his experience, no one ever did anything that suspicious without a good reason. ... And if Apollo didn't hear a good reason, he could still call the police on him.

"I take it you're new?" He then asked, inching one pointed step back at Apollo's movement. A step that put his back to the wall.
Naesala, on the other hand, was more than happy to watch and soak up the information being provided by Yuri.

It was actually kind of comical, that the guy seemed to be so wary of the pillow, but Apollo wasn't about to bring attention to his poor choice of a weapon.
"How new I am is beside the point. You're trying to dodge my questions! None of that is the real reason you came to this campus in the first place - unless it's something to do with this 'friend' of yours?" There's plenty of doubt in Apollo's tone when he says the word, his eyebrows raised. It was pretty late at night for social calls, that was all ... and if an implication helped push him to spill the beans, all the better.

Still, the fact that Apollo now seemed to be veering towards curiosity rather than indignant anger satisfied Yuri and he took up a more casual stance against the wallpaper.
"Yeah, was actually one of the first ones here." He admitted, allowing that comment to be accented with a shrug as if to say it wasn't that a big a deal. Which, considering he was one of the few non-staff still left, sort of was. "And that's 'cause you're asking questions I don't want to answer." He added, tone taking on a slightly more serious note. "Like I said- discards and weapons without permission aren't allowed to leave their own campuses. If you're caught, they hit you and whoever's important to you with a penalty, or worse- they'll punish random people for your mistakes. Combine that with the fact that I'm pretty sure they're monitoring anything to do with the technology..." He shrugged again, a little less insincerely this time and more as a hapless gesture. "Makes it pretty hard to have a private conversation."
The implication that Flynn was his lover however failed to hit. If only because people had been insinuating that since day one in knight training despite their strained relationship. (Also didn't help that everyone mistook him as a girl from behind.) Though to be fair, he had been visiting him, just not for the reasons Apollo was implying. Frustrated at not being able to do anything, he'd popped over to give Flynn a little ribbing and knock back a few bottles. Just to ease up the constant irritation of having his arm metaphorically pinned against his back.
Still, that wasn't something Apollo needed to know. Not when bringing in Flynn's name put him in danger. It was also the reason why he hadn't introduced himself. He just didn't trust either of these two that much yet. "So are you gonna throw another pillow or do you believe me?" Yuri added after a moment, letting the whites of his teeth show as he cocked a grin at the lawyer.

The thing was, what he claimed was completely plausible. In his experience, it was the norm for modern colleges or universities to monitor internet usage... but being in Rakuen automatically made it more sinister. ... And he was remembering what Yuka had told him at the assembly, about how little choice any of them had here. That thought made Apollo feel a little guilty, yet ... he still wished that he had a little more to go on. His bracelet was too bulky to wear to bed, but even if he had it on, he wouldn't have had much luck in the dark, or with its overall lack of responsiveness since he'd arrived here.
"... Okay. Fair enough." Apollo was a little reluctant, but dropped the pillow to the bed anyway. It was interesting to know he'd been one of the first ones here, but right now, he hardly knew what questions to ask. "I won't tell anyone you were here. Just get going. And watch what room you waltz into next time." He made an attempt to sound gruff, but instead his words came out more like an annoyed mumble.

Once he was sufficiently loosened up, he made his way to the... window, and took a quick peak outside it to see if anyone was about. "Quick word of advice?" He added, glancing at Apollo as his fingers began to push the window open. "Do everything you can to keep Day happy, that includes beating Fortitude at Exaclan. If you guys lose..." Here he paused with a grunt as he got the window all the way up. "Then everyone here gets punished. Most of us over there started losing on purpose just to cut you guys some slack but..." Here Yuri shrugged, not knowing how to explain losing half the school roster and having them replaced with entirely new faces. Some of which didn't care about the guys on the other side.
"Anyway, just try and stay on her good side." He added before sliding out and shutting the window behind him like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Naesala, on the other hand, had turned his back on Apollo and by all appearances gone to sleep. Not quite true, but it was really the only way to conceal the item he'd taken while the lawyer's attention was on Yuri. He hadn't really meant to, to be honest. Just one minute he'd been listening to the swordsman talk and the next his eyes had fallen onto the golden object shining away on the table and...
Well, apparently his self-control needed a great deal of work.
I'm really sorry these tags are so late ;;
Day... that was the headmistress! Eyes widening, Apollo leaned towards the window, barely holding himself back from more questions. They'd be rhetorical ones, anyway. "Yeah, thanks," he said as the intruder climbed out of the window, with an agility that even made Apollo a little envious. But he had bigger things to think about now than how disturbingly skilled that guy had been at climbing through windows. Punishments for losing sounded ridiculous, but given the idea that they'd apply random punishments for breaking the rules as well ... it worried him, on a few different levels.
Apollo cast a glance over at Naesala, but seeing that his roommate had already gone back to sleep, he didn't even try to talk to him. He'd provided absolutely zero backup, and this time Apollo couldn't manage to talk himself into a reason to be more charitable about it. Maybe on the laguz's crazy magic world it was common for strangers to hop through your windows, but right here and right now, he didn't appreciate the lack of help.
"Well, goodnight," Apollo muttered anyway, flopping back down onto his bed to attempt to go back to sleep.
