It had already been more than a week, and they were no closer to figuring out who was responsible for bringing them all to this school than they had been on day one. It was frightening, especially for someone like Fletcher, an introvert who'd spent much of his short life sheltered by his brother. Sure, he'd been exposed to the world more in the past year than he had been before that, but that still didn't equal being enrolled in a boarding school and forced to fight other students.

He was trying to make it seem less weird by getting to know the other kidnappees and by actually attending class and doing the assigned work, which wasn't too difficult for him, though the information they were learning in History was... a bit odd, and he wasn't even sure he could attribute the discrepancies with what he knew to be true to lost memories. Another mystery he would have to somehow learn the truth behind.

For now, though, he was sitting in the Pale dorm common room, a science textbook open on the table in front of him, studying something he should have already known: The periodic table. It was frustrating; every time he got distracted by something else, all the information he'd just read went flying out of his head, and he had to start all over. He didn't realize it, but the door to the hallway was wide open.

Lelouch found his way to the roof of the building the whole incident with Suzaku, Yuki, and Gino had occurred in, and looked out over the campus. It was a nice place, that was for sure, but it just felt like another pretty birdcage. Another barrier to overcome. More memories taken from him. What were those ten things he was missing? One of them was his mother's face, that was for sure. But what else? Did he ever have any way of figuring it out? He would just have to hope it occurred when most convenient for him, not others.

So he had given Suzaku their signal from when they were boys. He knew Suzaku had enough discretion to wait an appropriate amount of time before coming up here himself, so that he wouldn't be followed.

Now that he had a Player that was easy enough to control, he needed to make his next move.

It had been a mentally exhausting day, not that Suzaku didn't usually have those but today had been especially trying. He still couldn't believe that Euphemia was alive and here, it made no sense. None at all, she had been dead a year. Suzaku, despite not wanting to, was starting to think those that were speaking of other worlds might actually be on to something. Of couse that didn't explain why Euphemia, who was dead was in this place, this world if it was a different world to his own.

He stood stiffly and nervously waiting for Gino, the Knight had not looked pleased when he had sugested this meeting and though Suzaku knew that Gino couldn't remember anything the Knight wasn't stupid. Not by a long way and so of course he had worked out that things wern't quite right.

He would want answers and Suzaku was not sure he could provide them, because he was missing memories as well and not just his family name. Still Gino had said to meet him so here he was, he stood ready waiting for his Player.
