A Shirt Full of Apples (Open)
Characters: Romeo and apple lovers! The forest was a little bit scary, he had always been told not to wander off into the woods because wolves might eat him. So he had not explored very far into the trees around the school but earlier that day he had found an apple tree not too far from the edge of the woods.
Format: Whatever you like
This log is: open
Location: The courtyard
Summary: Romeo finds some apples and is handing them out, come share!
Warnings:
A lot of the apples had fallen so Romeo had gathered them in his shirt and was now sat in the corner of the courtyard with a lap full of apples. He was eating one; it was very delicious! He looked around at the people in the courtyard, a lot of them were adults but there were some children in the school. Like Fletcher! Still even if they were adults none of the adults had hurt Romeo at this school. He should share the delicious apples.
"Would you like an apple?" His voice was quiet but enthusiastic.

"Oh apples? Did you pick them all yourself? I didn't realize we had apples." She did wait for permission, keeping her hands to herself, but her enthusiasm for the fruit was undeniable.

He bit his lip he hoped he hadn't stolen them, that would be bad!
no subject
"I don't know why they would, you just saved them the trouble of picking them themselves. They taste so good. Mother used to bring them in sometimes at home but not that often."
no subject
"Did you live in a city?" He asked refering to the fact Repunzel had said her mother had brought back apples, rather than Repunzel had picked them herself.

"We lived in a tower, I've never been to a city? Are they nice? Do they have a lot of people and stuff?"
no subject
"I've only been to Milano, I was a chimney sweep there last year. It was so big!" He spread his arms out to show how big it was. "It had lots of people but was pretty, especially on the rooftops, the sky was so blue and the light reflected off the roofs. It was beautiful!"
"What is it like, living in a tower?"
no subject
"Milano? What a pretty name. It was...fine living in a tower. I guess you can't really be afraid of heights you know?"

Then a pang of guilt hit and her face crumpled, "W-Well I miss Mother and all and I shouldn't really be here."
no subject
He smiled at her, "Why shouldn't you be here?" It was a school after all and Romeo thought that everybody had been sent here. "I miss my mother too, but you will get to see her soon right?"
Surely this school had holidays; they were bound to be able to go home soon.

"Thanks," Enki grinned at the kid and crouched down, taking the offered apple. He really didn't understand why there were so many children, here. What could that possibly accomplish? Why would whoever in charge want to to do this to children?
"Where did you find these?" Maybe he should attempt to be nice and have some conversation with the person who'd offered him fruit, instead of just demolishing the apple.

"In the woods, I didn't go too far but there's lots of fruit trees there," he took another bite of apple.

It was kinda funny... despite all his trips out of the palace, most of the kids he saw was when he went to Hourai. The palace didn't have any (Tentei forbid Shōryū ever think of praying at the riboku...), and when he wandered around town, he was mostly in places there were no kids (though not the same places Shōryū tended to... patronage). It was, quite honestly, strange to see so many people closer to his height and shorter.
"You didn't happen to see a peach tree?"
no subject
"My name's Romeo, what's yours?
no subject
"Thanks for the apple, Romeo. I think I'll go find the peach trees." Because even if he could get perfectly good peaches in the dining hall, he'd noticed they weren't present at all times, and if he could get peaches whenever he wanted to... why settle for less than that?

"Hey. D'you know Mei?" Lyra asked, sitting down to eat her apple.
no subject
"Yes I know Mei! We painted her room!" That had been a fun afternoon.
