A Shirt Full of Apples (Open)

Summary: Romeo finds some apples and is handing them out, come share!
Warnings:

The forest was a little bit scary, he had always been told not to wander off into the woods because wolves might eat him. So he had not explored very far into the trees around the school but earlier that day he had found an apple tree not too far from the edge of the woods.

A lot of the apples had fallen so Romeo had gathered them in his shirt and was now sat in the corner of the courtyard with a lap full of apples. He was eating one; it was very delicious! He looked around at the people in the courtyard, a lot of them were adults but there were some children in the school. Like Fletcher! Still even if they were adults none of the adults had hurt Romeo at this school. He should share the delicious apples.

"Would you like an apple?" His voice was quiet but enthusiastic.

Romeo looked up at the boy who approached him, he seemed to be maybe about as old as Alfredo had been and his hair was so yellow! Romeo smiled as the boy ate the apple, he was glad that he had picked lots of apples, that way he could share them with a lot of people.

"In the woods, I didn't go too far but there's lots of fruit trees there," he took another bite of apple.

"That's good to know," Enki said with a nod, though he couldn't see what would make him go pick the fruit from the trees, considering there were both, oh-so-nicely, vegan food and fruit provided in the dining hall.

It was kinda funny... despite all his trips out of the palace, most of the kids he saw was when he went to Hourai. The palace didn't have any (Tentei forbid Shōryū ever think of praying at the riboku...), and when he wandered around town, he was mostly in places there were no kids (though not the same places Shōryū tended to... patronage). It was, quite honestly, strange to see so many people closer to his height and shorter.

"You didn't happen to see a peach tree?"

Romeo grinned and nodded, "There were peach trees too, but I didn't go that far in the woods," he actually doubted there were wolves this close to the school, he heard they didn't like being near people.

"My name's Romeo, what's yours?

[choseanidiot]

"Enki," he answered with a lop-sided smile and a grunt as he stood up, ruffling the kid's hair. Usually, he'd have used Rokuta. He wasn't actually, exactly, sure why he wasn't. He hadn't used it with Gaara either and he still couldn't put a finger on why.

"Thanks for the apple, Romeo. I think I'll go find the peach trees." Because even if he could get perfectly good peaches in the dining hall, he'd noticed they weren't present at all times, and if he could get peaches whenever he wanted to... why settle for less than that?

"It is nice to meet you Enki!" Romeo gave another smile as the boy ruffled his hair. "They are that way," he pointed to where he had found the fruit trees, "I hope you find delicious peaches!" He smiled again and took another bite from his apple happily, glad he had met another nice person.
