round 3 day 5, early afternoon

Characters:
Format: prose preferred, action accepted!
This log is: open
Location: an unused classroom somewhere
Summary: Sherry plays the violin. Again. He's not doing so well lately.
Warnings: none at time of posting
Sherlock keeps playing the same song over and over again.

He plays it through once, and then stops because it is a ridiculously maudlin choice of tune; after a few minutes of trying to come up with something else and failing because it is so thoroughly stuck in his head, he goes back to it for lack of other options. Rinse, repeat. This has been going on for at least half an hour.

There is a blanket on the floor of the empty classroom he has chosen for this activity, but he found that even with no one there, he couldn't sleep. Perhaps because it's shortly after noon.

Every window in the room that can be opened has been; it's not raining now, but it was when he started playing, and he likes the sound. Sherlock and his violin are sitting by one of them, across from the open door.

Romeo was wandering, he had just come back from training with mister Zoro and he had heard the music and it had made him curious, it was a strange tune but played very prettily. Romeo worked out what building it was coming from and went closer. He wondered who was playing, he knew nothing about music and couldn't even work out what instrument it was. But it wasn't the piano.

"Oh mister Sherlock! It's you!" He hadn't heard him play his violin before and he looked through with a smile.

"Yes you did!" He grinned again, "Your really good!" Of course this was the first time Romeo had ever heard the violin played and so he didn't have anything to compare it with but he had liked listening.

"Why are you in here though?"
myblueskies: (I don't understand!)

"Oh." Did mister Sherlock want him to leave? Because Romeo knew that sometimes adults sometimes liked quiet, either that or they had 'terrible headaches' and that it usually meant they wanted to go and get drunk and the kids should get on with work without them and leave them alone.

"Why do you want quiet?" It was more bold then he usually was, but mister Sherlock was one of those strange adults who was usually happy enough to answer his questions, and anyways Romeo was still on the other side of the window, if Sherlock got very angry Romeo would be able to run quicker than Sherlock could get up and get out the room to chase him.

"But it's the middle of the day!" Romeo had decided that Sherlock wasn't going to get mad at him, and being worried about his new found friend. Because you didn't sleep in the day time! He had only known Angeletta to sleep in the day time when she was having a bad day and her heart had been really bad.

Romeo decided that something was wrong and Sherlock needed his help, so he clambered happily through the window. "Did you not sleep last night sir?" He asked once he was safely on the floor in front of Sherlock.

"Did you have nightmares?" Did adults have nightmares? He knew Miss Sora had had the same nightmare as him, the one with the tiger. So maybe adults did have nightmares. "Or did the storm keep you awake?"
myblueskies: (ark!)

Romeo's smile dropped a little, "Are you ill?" He looked carefully at Sherlock, "We should go to the infirmary, because some illnesses can be cured." He was worried, the more he looked the more that Sherlock looked ill.

"But Doctor Casella says that the longer you wait the less chance doctors have of being able to make you better, so you should go to the infirmary!" Because otherwise he might die and Romeo didn't want him to die!
myblueskies: (I don't understand!)

"Can't sleep if anyone else is in the room?" That was strange, "Why not?"
myblueskies: (smile)

"Oh," Romeo frowned and thought for a while, wanting to help. "Well did you manage to sleep in here, on your own?" Because he hadn't been sleeping when Romeo had found him, he had been playing the violin.

Romeo frowned again looking around. He didn't know why mister Sherlock couldn't sleep when other people were there but he did know that mostly when people couldn't sleep it was because they were scared. "Were you worried that someone would come in?"
myblueskies: (I swear!)

By then of course Romeo had came up with a way to help Sherlock, because in times like that he just had to think about what Alfredo would do, and what Angeleta would do and between them they were very good at helping people.

"Alright then! I can help you sleep!" He hurried over to the windows and pushed them closed, checking they were all properly closed and couldn't be opened. He then pulled the curtains across making the room dark.

"See no one can look in, and I'll sit outside and make sure no one can come into the room!"

He skipped to the door and turned back to look at Sherlock and raised his fist to his heart, "Here is my vow that I wont let anybody enter, nor shall I come in until you wake! So now you can sleep!"
myblueskies: (smiles all round)

"A hug?" With the other riddles Romeo had half understood them after he had been told the answer but this one was still a mystery, still Romeo smiled. "That's great, but sleep first and then we can go and tell the receptionist!"

Because as happy as he was that Sherlock had solved the riddle his friend needed sleep first. With another grin Romeo skipped outside the door and closed it sitting in front so that no body would be able to get in.
