[Kanaya is wandering around the school grounds, wearing her new uniform. This place was so different from Alternia, and although she's seen Earth before, it's only been from behind a computer screen. The sun was different here and she wondered if the other trolls would enjoy it's rays. On the other hand, she didn't want them to experience it, that would be taking them away from their important mission.]

[She didn't sleep last night, or even spend last night in her dorm. Instead she spent the night reading the rulebook, it wasn't nearly as wordy as Rose's gameFAQ and she got through it easily. If she could collect 5 weapons she'd win the round, but besides memories and upgrades there didn't seem to be much gained for winning. No discernible way to get back.]

[For now she's just trying to familiar herself with her new surroundings, perhaps collect a few weapons along the way]

No bad Koharu. Judging solely on appearances is bad. She could be a very kind girl just tossed into this mess. But she did look a bit unusual, no one could deny that.]

[She turns to face Koharu. At least Are you lost was a better question than are you knew. Seriously, unless humans were stupider than she thought, she assumed they would remember seeing a Troll.]

If by lost you are insinuation that I am unaware of my current location, then you are both correct and incorrect. There [she points] is the dorm in which I reside, and there [points somewhere else] is where food is served. While I am aware of the location of the buildings, just being on Earth makes me lost.

I--well it just...takes a little time to get used to the layout for some people. Sora gets lost routinely. [She is undeterred by your offputting behavior]

I suppose it's not too much to expect you know the rules then.

[If Kanaya knew what a moeblob was, she might equate that with the girl standing before her]

I have met Sora, has she not been here for quite a while? [that's one more tick in the humans are really dumb box] I have acquired a rulebook and read it in its entirety last night. I am familiar with them even if I have not personally seen them in action.

Sora...I think she lost a few key memories. This school is identical to our own at home. I don't think she could really forget it...it's something this place did. Like how she forgot our names.

Ah, then there isn't anything to tell. I'm glad you read it all, some just try to start playing only knowing the basics and miss much of what goes on. If you're good with a gun, I can possibly be your weapon. If Grenn or Sora are not players. I have promised to them first.

[Ah memories. She knew that she couldn't recall the last names of her friends, but the only reason she knew that was because Dahlia had given her a charm for a moment. So she remembers recalling them and then forgetting them when she had to return the charm. Which was odd.]

I have no previous experience with a gun though I assume it's not that difficult. I would offer the same agreement to you but I fear my weapon is rather useless without it's primary upgrade. That's not important at this moment as I have been selected player for my introductory round.

I did not do much fighting in my round as player. I collected weapons and won that way actually. [She looks sheepish]

That is a legal action? To win without engaging in battle? [seems kind of boring, but maybe better?] To my knowledge Sora is not a player, is Grenn? [why yes, this is her indirect way of asking if you would be her weapon]

It is! 5 weapons is an automatic win. [blink] Didn't you read that?

Oh and she isn't one this round. I've already bonded with a player this round though. Lelouch.

[It seems like no one wants to be her weapon! Is she doing something wrong?]

How does on go about acquiring weapons? I seem to be experiencing bad luck in my attempts to do so.

If you make friends, I'm sure others will agree. I'm sorry, I would have been your weapon, but I was asked first. Next round as a player perhaps?

Make friends. [she repeats her, it's more difficult to make friends in person than from behind a computer screen] How does one go about doing that? Ah, how often is one selected Player? Would it be in my best interest to be a player more often or a weapon?

You...um. You talk to people? And it's best to be both equally? As a player you can gain tokens and buy things for your weapons. As a weapon you can help others gain tokens and receive charms and upgrades. I believe we are weapons more often than players, but I don't think being a player happens that often.

So you are used more often than you are in control. What happens if a Weapon does not partner with a Player?

We lose privileges such as access to certain places or dessert. It's just more and more incentive to play. They want everyone to play.

Not being able to access a building or eat a sweet does not seem like much incentive to me.

I suppose it's the fact that all fun sorts of recreational activities require permission from your player. It can get a bit boring otherwise.

What happens if you do not acquire a Player or permission? Is there a penalty if one just takes dessert regardless of status?

I don't know, I've...never tried?

It is most likely that my weapon will try if I do not give her permission. If if would suit you, I am willing to share the outcome of this experiment with you.

It'd probably be best to know. So we can figure out what happened.
