Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

[Conquest students will notice the smiling woman at the front gates as they arrive. She is eating an apple. She looks a little bored but says hello to people as they pass, or offers comments about their looks, or dress style some of them quite mean... it's how she shows affection, promise.

This is your headmistress but she wont offer that information if you don't ask her, she thinks it's obvious.]

[duchy]

[Lithuania pauses to watch her--she seems more at home than most of the people wandering around, and she seems to be staying by the gate. He approaches after a few moments.]

Do you live here? Before we got here, I mean?

[Oh a child, Day grinned at him and hoped that he wasn't going to get injured and result in an army of angry students and teachers complaining because the system hurt a kid.]

I do. I've been here a while now, I am your headmistress. Welcome to Conquest I guess kid. [She takes another bite of apple]

[duchy]

[Someone he should be respectful of, then.]

It's nice to meet you, ma'am.

[...But then his seriousness dissolves into excitement.]

Will we get to see one of the fights before we have to do it ourselves soon?

Day smiled at his excitement, it was refreshing to meet someone who was excited rather than pathetic about the idea of fighting. "Of course! Tonight actually, be at the battle arena nice and early for a good seat!" She smiled again, liking him immediately for his attitude.

[duchy]

"I will!" Lithuania bounces on his heels a bit at the idea. "It sounds like fun. Is it?"

After all, if no one got killed it wasn't really a big deal.

[Santana as well is one of those, if you want answers then you better ask the right questions type of person. They make a good (bad?) pair.]

[Passerbys may notice that they wear the same necklace.]

So these people are our new meat.

[Day grinned at Santana and nodded] Just as pathetic as expected. Any worth noting?

[straightupzorra]

A few have no problems with fighting, a few are all, oh no you expect me to fight and started to cry, a bunch want to leave, and [she pauses] a friend of mine is here, Brittany, I've told you about her. She's in Conquest as well.

Just as expected, criers. At least some had no problems with fighting, a relief if anything. The knowledge that Brittany was here made her raise an eyebrow though.

"Will you be alright?" She didn't think Santana was week but she knew how much Brittany meant to her, and didn't want anything holding Santana back.

Connections could be weaknesses as well as strength.

She scoffs, "Don't go getting it into your head that I'm going to weak and cry about it like all the other wusses here. Her being here just means I'm going to fight harder. It helps I'm the Prefect and my permanent Weapon is the Headmistress."

After a brief pause, a wicked smile comes across her face, "Daay" she says in a sing-song voice, extending Day's name a few syllables, "Would you be against issuing a challenge to the new kid? They can take us on and see our power, and the power they may get to. We won't lose to any of them."

[Red passes her, just noting that some people are asking her things and therefore she must have information, on his way in. After searching his dorm room, giving a quick look to the manual, and changing into the uniform (the hat stays on), however, he goes back to find her. He's gotten a pencil and paper, and his message is already written out. He holds the paper up to her: 'are my pokemon here??']

[She frowns at the hat but really, it is their free day today so she wont call him on it. Today. She raises an eyebrow but Santana had warned her about the boy that couldn't speak so she just shook her head and grinned at him, making sure she was facing him in case he was relying on lip reading.

Sometimes Day could be considerate.]

No I'm sorry you have nothing from home here apart from your clothes. Don't worry though you can buy anything you need. [Yes she has no clue what Pokemon are]

... [Red looks down a little, just breaking eye contact, expression visibly dropping. He nods after a moment, though, so she knows he heard. He writes his other question. 'do I need to speak to be here?' The manual, like the girl who greeted him at the train, only mentioned vows -- nothing about talking or not talking specifically.]

He looked sad, but that really was nothing knew. She read the next note and shook her head. "You can write the vow down." She told him with another smile.

"Though if you can speak and are just choosing not to I suggest you chose to speak soon, it will make things easier."

[secondtoone]

[Red nods slowly, absorbing the information. Writing a vow down -- then he can participate, he supposes. He shakes his head at the second remark; why would he choose not to speak? It's so useful to be able to.]

[She seems done talking, so he nods and turns to walk away. Saying 'thank you' seems to have slipped from his habits in three years of isolation.]

[Dave raised an eyebrow. He was hearing some of the comments she made, not that it bothered him. He was heading out anyways. He needed to get something more useful then pencil and paper to communicate.

He eventually might walk passed her, glancing at her through his shades.]

Day just grinned at him, she wasn't sure if he was one of her students or not. Soon she guessed she would have to be able to recognize them all by sight. Dolorosa probably already could, the troll was much better suited to this than she was.

"Hello, are you settling in?"

He nods at her briskly. It wasn't all that bad here. He was a little annoyed that he didn't have most of his belongings. Hell, if he had his turntables at least, he'd be pretty happy with that.

He pointed out towards the city then made button clicking motions as to indicate a type of electronic.

"What you can't talk either?" Day sighed, she had already spoken to Red today. She wondered which one this kid was and if he was in her school before she dug in her pockets for a pencil and pen. "Though if you just want a computer they are in the big building on campus, or you can go to Recette's shop, see if she will sell you one."

[knightime]

Oh. She's probably talking about Red then. He met the other on the train.

The shop grabs his interest. He didn't really need a computer. Sure, it would be nice in his room, but that wasn't portable. He indicated a square before slowly making it shrink then pretending to pocket something.

[stoppedhiding]

[ A teacher? She looks older than the two prefects had; Golbez doubts the woman is a student. ]

You are?

Day [Day grinned at him] Your headmistress and you are? [One of the teachers she guessed, he was older than she was.]

[stoppedhiding]

[ So this is the headmistress Santana had spoken of. ] ...Golbez. I don't yet know what my role here is to be.

Day grinned at him, "Oh that's simple, you're our astronomy teacher," she paused, "You do know astronomy right?" They had had a few people in her group who weren't too sure on the subject they were teaching, "Or it will be an interesting class indeed."
