Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

His hysterical denials from the battle lines were long gone, replaced by intense self-blaming. "One of the Rounds..." he started. That person had certainly not been Suzaku. "He detonated the FLEIJA over Tokyo. He'd warned me he had it. But..." He clutched his face in his hands. "Nunally..." he still couldn't put the sentence together.

Suzaku blinked, remembering. Or more specifically not remembering, it was very fuzzy but he vaguely remembered there had been a FLEIJA over Tokyo. And that Nunnally had been presumed dead.

Had Lelouch forgotten? Somehow... that his sister was alive.

"She's alive Lelouch, she is with Schneizel... and she thinks you are her enemy..." Why did she think that again? Suzaku pressed a hand to his head at the headache that was building.

"We're on our way to stop her... she fired a FLEIJA over Pendragon..." He stopped there, telling his emperor that his sister was alive and a his enemy was probably enough for now without going into details.

Spotting the familiar fluff of Suzaku's hair, Nunnally felt relieved. She'd been afraid she wouldn't find anyone she knew in the school at all, but there he was, talking to someone hidden from her view by some bushes. Sometimes she wished she wasn't handicapped, because everyone else was taller than her when she couldn't stand up. Of course, there were other reasons as well, but.

Directing her wheelchair to turn around the corner of the hedge, she was about to call out to Suzaku, but instead she stopped dead and her breath caught in her throat. Talking to him was... no, it couldn't be.

It was difficult not to stare. She hadn't-- how on Earth--

He looked up at Suzaku, aghast. He could also feel a small headache coming on, but nothing exceptional. He digested all of the information Suzaku had to tell him. Suzaku wouldn't lie to him, so this must be the fault of some memory or the other taken from him.

He sat up a little straighter. "Schneizel..." he spat out the name with distaste. "He--"

But then he caught a familiar girl in pink out of the corner of his eye. His face ran pale. He just stared.

And all at once, the headache intensified into an incredible migraine. It was so severe it pulled his eyes from the girl, and he clutched his head with his hands. It took a lot to only whimper from the pain, not yell. His fingers curled into his hair.

Suzaku hadn't got round to reading the manual yet, so he had no idea why Lelouch was looking at him so shocked. Then when he went even paler Suzaku looked round to see Nunnally.

"Nunnally," his voice was full of caution, caution and guilt since the last time he talked to her she was declaring them her enemies.

He didn't think she'd actually hurt her brother, but he wasn't going to leave Lelouch undefended.

At the whimper he turned back to Lelouch and his eyes widened, he was at his side in a moment. "What is wrong?"

At the sight of her brother being in some sort of pain, Nunnally snapped out of her stupor, and steered her chair over to them as quickly as she could.

"Brother!" ...strange, she... couldn't quite place his name. It intensified her frown a bit.

It was as though something in his mind were constantly ramming up against a brick wall that it couldn't break through. The manual had mentioned the possibility of headaches if you ran up across a memory you'd lost, but he hadn't expected it to be like this.

He had to think about something else. Aeries was pleasant. If bittersweet. Yes, that would do. It seemed that there wasn't any problem with those memories. The pain began to fade and he began to breathe more normally.

After a few moments, he lifted his head again. His face had gotten red from the strain. He swept a hand over his hair to smooth it down again. "I'm okay..." he breathed.

"Nunnally... I'm glad to see you." He reached out to take her hand.

"What happened?" Suzaku didn't move away, because that was strange and Lelouch looked like he had been in pain. He looked to Nunnally again and nodded once politely but not saying anything; unsure as whether they could trust her.

Trying to remember her brothers name really put some strain on her thoughts, but she ignored it in favour of taking her brothers hand as he reached out to her, worry written all over her face.

"I..." she swallowed a little. She... wasn't sure what to say. This wasn't what she expected. "A- are you all right?"

He waved his other hand dismissively. "I'm alright. It's this place." He was just so glad to see her alive, that he wasn't worried about the implications of his headache yet. The pain lingered, but it wasn't as intense as before.

"You're safe... It was true then, what the others were saying. You didn't get caught in the FLEIJA explosion..." His voice shook a bit.

Suzaku didn't say anything as it was obvious Nunnally wasn't asking him. He just stood to the side silently, wondering if he could trust Nunnally, wondering what they had come to that he had to ask that question at all.

And then he realised what he had been missing, what was strange about this, and wondered how he had ever missed it.

"Nunnally you can see?"

Oh... wait what, this is confusing... shouldn't he already know? And her brother knew she was alive. How is this all possible?

"Suzaku-san... I-- yes."

He was lost in her eyes for a long moment, he didn't even hear whatever it was Suzaku and Nunnally had said to each other. But all at once, he moved out of his seat and wrapped his arms tightly around her. He probably partly lifted her out of the chair in his exuberance.

He buried his face in her hair, just enjoying her presence for a moment. Her scent, her warmth, the feel of her frail body under his arms... And her eyes, her beautiful eyes were back. He hadn't seen them since-- There was that headache again. Not as bad this time. But he did tense.

But all of that didn't matter. He would sort out those details later. For now, only Nunnally was important. She was everything that mattered. She was his center. With her here, he could find focus. There was nothing that could hold him now.

He didn't care about the hows and whys. At least not now. She. Was. Alive.

"But... how?" He stared at her a moment noting that her eyes were the same colour as Lelouch's, he should have probably guessed that would be so. He watched as Lelouch hugged Nunnally and stayed back not wanting to to intrude on their reunion, a happier one than Suzaku could remember.

That still bothered him, but he remained quiet for now.

Trying not to let her breath hitch, trying not to sob Nunnally clutched the fabric of her brothers jacket, overwhelmed by the feel of just. Him being there. It was real, he wasn't dead, even if she'd seen it happen. It... was strange. Suzaku's words made her frown a bit however, and she looked up at him.

"I... I don't know--" she was wondering why and how she'd even been blind in the first place. She couldn't remember. "I don't remember..."
