Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

He made a bit of a face and pulled his PDA out and started typing furiously into the PDA then showed it to her.

"You can't talk?" Her eyes combed over the text. Had Vriska missed something here? Well, if she had to be honest, she hadn't given much of a shit about checking out the other kids' timelines. She'd glanced at them but had focused John. Still, she felt like she would have caught that. Well, whatever. At least she didn't have to hear him rattle on about stupid shit she didn't care about. She shrugged it off.

"Whatever, makes my life easier if I don't have to listen to your shit. Lead the way, if you're offering."

He starts typing again underneath the first message. He can just delete it all later.

Dave was a bit curious of that. There were a lot of reasons why the other thought he could talk before. Well, other then she probably just assumed, but he thought these stupid trolls watched their entire timelines or some shit like that.

He indicates her to follow him as he starts heading back towards the front gates.

"Wellllllll, I didn't really pay a lot of attention to your timeline. That was Pyrope's thing."

She moved to catch up with him, shrugging again. She really couldn't care less about Dave, honestly. Not her human, though she felt a little smug about meeting him face to face before Terezi did. She guessed anyway, she hadn't seen Terezi around. And she didn't really know what had gone on after she died.

"I guess I just assumed as mouthy as you are, you'd have a voice to back it up. But it looks like you're all bark and no bite."

Dave just waves his hand dismissively. Like he really needed to be more aware of Terezi creepily watching his life story over and over again. Jegus, it's creepy enough that he's pretty sure she wants to lick him because of all the red.

Also, he might have shoved you a bit before showing the screen to her face.

Vriska glared at him before looking at the screen. Oh, had she gotten that wrong? Ugh, embarrassing. She rolled her eyes, shoving the PDA away from her face moodily. Maybe it was a bad idea to make contact after all.

"Whatever. So I got one of your stupid human expressions wrong. You obviously understood what I meant."

You can't see the eye roll he did himself. Honestly, he was just being technical, but he refuses to let anyone get away that saying he was all talk when...he can't talk. Maybe he's a little more sensitive about this subject then he likes to let on.

God, he's just going to make this as quick as possible and get her to the fucking store.

"You, obviously. If you felt the need to correct me over something so pointless."

She decided to ignore the PDA after the last few messages. Even if he couldn't speak, he was still annoying as shit and she wondered how Terezi could stand him. Oh right, Terezi was fucking annoying too. Frankly, it was weird spending time with a human, especially one of the kids she knew. Well, sort of knew. Speaking of kids-

"So, have you seen Egbert around yet?"

Dave doesn't answer for a bit and just keeps walking. Egbert...? Egbert. Who the fuck was Egbert? She asks as though he knows this person which means he had to have known who this was. But...why doesn't he recognize the name? He stops walking, rubbing his temples. It hurt trying to think of who it could be. Dave knew he was forgetting something. Someone. He just...he didn't know who that name belonged to.

He glances over at Vriska quizzically.

Vriska waited for an answer that was obviously not coming. She stopped when he did, turning and staring him down expectantly. And when she still didn't get an answer, she rolled her eyes.

"Seriously? You're not going to tell me? What, do Pyrope and you have some pact to keep me out of the loop? Not that it would be surprising, I wouldn't put a bitchy move like that past her."

He shook his head at the mention of Terezi telling him not to spill. Hell, he didn't actually care about telling Vriska anything. He was just completely mystified as who she were referring to. Did she mean...what was his name anyways?

He furiously typed into his PDA and showed the screen to her.

He felt oddly empty admitting that because he knew he should know this. But the longer he tried to figure out who it could be, the more his head pounded. He winces a bit and rubs his temples again.

Her eyes skimmed the text, widening and then narrowing at the incredulousness of such a statement. Vriska's patience, what little she had, was worn down by this point. How could anyone forget John of all people?

"You have to be kidding me. John Egbert? Your 'best bro' or whatever it is you call each other? Don't tell me you actually forgot that. I know humans are stupid, but come on."

He looks slightly surprised. Well, if surprise can be seen on his face, it's there.

And now he's thinking. He can't remember Rose's name either. Or Jade's. He was pretty sure that of all the things he couldn't forget, it would be the names of his best and closest friends. Dave suddenly scowls. Fuck, this place was messing with him.

She rolled her eyes. This was stupid. What kind of person forgets names? Then again, she couldn't remember how she died or who killed her. But that was still less ridiculous than forgetting the name of someone she'd know for sweeps.

"Well, just for your information, it's John. Try not to forget it again. I'd be inconvenient to have to keep reminding you."

Dave was already writing John's name down in his PDA. Perhaps he should start keeping notes. He doesn't know what else he might find out that he's forgotten.

Once he's sure he's saved it, he starts walking towards the shop again.

She took up walking again when he did, rolling her neck and cracking stiff joints before she glanced at his PDA again, which was quickly becoming an aggravation. It'd be a lot easier once she could text back and not have to keep leaning over to look at it. Not that she really planned to contact him regularly after this, but whatever.

"Good. Where the hell is this place even at??"

I saw nothing. I saw nothing

He stops after a minute or two and points down the street. It's probably obvious which one of the buildings is the shop.
