Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

[hugling]

[Teddy is sitting on a bench in town, alternately people watching and playing with his new PDA. He's wearing the jeans and hoodie he arrived in, even though it's pretty cold. He looks pretty friendly, and it would totally be a good idea to say hi c: ]

[bedtime]

[ Oichi sees him, and hides behind a tree, peeking out at him. She is careful to run from tree to tree, hiding herself as best she can, and she's pretty oblivious to how much of a sore thumb she is. After all, in this weather, you'd think someone would wear pants. But she doesn't seem to mind it at all.

Eventually she ends up plopping down on the bench an arm's length away from him. She peers at him curiously, and says: ]

Hello... what's your name?

[hugling]

[Teddy saw some of the tree-running shenanigans, and he turns and smiles at her, looking a little bemused.]

Hi, I'm Teddy. What's yours?

[bedtime]

Ichi... that is my name. Hello, Teddy. Ichi has never seen so many foreigners before... so many, so many... and so many strange buildings. The sky is the only thing that is familiar to Ichi... where are we? A dream...?

[ almost hidden behind her skirts, Kotarou seems to have taken it upon himself to make sure Oichi doesn't do anything stupid. So far, he's failing, 'cause talking to some creepy-looking foreigner is right up there in the stupid category. He finally comes out of his slightly-more-successful hiding. ]

Ichi, don't just talk to foreigners!

[ Don't mind him just glaring at you, Teddy. ]

[hugling]

[Teddy was about to say something to Oichi, but now there's this grubby kid glaring at him. Teddy stares right back.]

Uh, you know, technically we're all foreigners since none of us are from here.

[turns to Oichi.]

It's nice to meet you, Ichi. As far as I can gather, we've been taken to some kind of parallel world, and I'm pretty sure we're awake.

[bedtime]

[ Oichi looks to Kotarou, and giggles a little. ]

He's ok, so don't worry, little Kota...

[ Then Teddy talks to her, and she tilts her head slowly from side to side. She doesn't understand. ]

What is a parallel world? Ichi... has never heard of anything like that, so tell Ichi what it means...

[Teddy might have noticed the blond absorbed in his new PDA. He's dressed kind of oddly. A hoodie with a cape, although his clothes kind of look more like pajamas honestly.

He seems engrossed in figuring out all the functions possible on his PDA. This, of course, would be solved quickly. He was good at tinkering a bit. Or at least lucky with it.]

[hugling]

[Teddy slips his own new PDA into his pocket and peers over at what Dave is doing.]

Man, these things were cutting edge in 2007, huh.

[knightime]

[He stops and glances at the other for a minute before rapidly typing onto his PDA and showing the screen to the other.

He was a fast typer thankfully. But, it was that or never get a conversation going and he was always on the computer.]

at least they work and shit
and we dont have to rely on the mighty fucking pencil and its wavey friend paper
that would be the biggest fucking headache

[hugling]

Yeah, um. Sorry, can you hear okay? Would you prefer if I just text you? [Teddy pulls his PDA out of his pocket and gestures to it.] Or, uh. Do you do sign language? I totally know the alphabet.

[knightime]

[Dave nods at the first question. Pretty sure his hearing is perfectly good. Probably even better then average. Something about your other senses getting better when one doesn't work? Naw, he didn't pay attention to that shit apparently.

He pockets the PDA though and starts doing a few signs. He's going at a moderate pace, not sure if the other was fast or slow with it.] 'I can do either so whatever you're comfortable with.' [He pauses for a moment. When did he learn sign language...? Why doesn't he actually remember who taught it to him?] 'Texting is usually more convenient I guess, but I can do both proficiently.'

[hugling]

Woah, hold on, When I said I know the alphabet I meant I only know the alphabet. I think texting is probably our best bet here. But, uh. I'm Teddy, for the record. [he sloooowly fingerspells out N-E-D-D-Y, because he's forgotten the difference between T and N.]

[straightupzorra]

[she was walking by him and only stopped because she say the PDA]

Recette is selling those already?

[hugling]

Hmm?

[he looks up, recognizing Santana as the prefect from the other school.]

Yeah, I bought it from her. She's really nice.

[straightupzorra]

[she scoffs] She would be selling things half price already, I don't think she even understands money. [all of this is said affectionately]

[hugling]

[a little defensively.] Well, it's really sweet of her to give new students a discount. And she gave me free walnut bread, too.

[straightupzorra]

Recette gives everyone walnut bread all the time, hope you like it since you'll probably be eating a lot of it. I don't care who she gives discount to but she's the shop owner so she needs to make some kind of profit.

[hugling]

I don't know, I guess so. She'll probably be okay though, since she's the only store in town.

[shrugs.]

You're Santana, right?

[mamarosa]

[After walking around town for a while, Dolorosa decides to sit down and just watch those who go by, she says good morning to him as she sits down on the bench beside him]

[hugling]

[Teddy nods in response, and it's a few minutes before he breaks the silence.]

So, um. You've been here a long time?

[mamarosa]

In human terms, I believe that it has been a year.

[hugling]

Will it take me that long to win the game? I really need to go home, my friends will definitely miss me.

[mamarosa]

Winning the game is an odd way of putting it. You can win a round but that will not guarantee your return home. There are ways of winning but... I cannot tell you that, forgive me.

[hugling]

Yeah, I figured. But you can win and go home. That's what Recette said. So how long would that take?
