Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match!

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

[At the answer, Britannia gives a light laugh and rests her chin on the palm of her hand.] I thought so. Would you like to join me?

[Ukraine nods and has a seat, feeling slightly too big for the delicate framework of the chair.]

If is not rude to ask, where are you from? You sound very... British.

[Halfway to bringing the cup back to her lips, Britannia pauses at that remark and an odd look comes over her face. Partly bemused, partly annoyed. The moment passes quickly though and she resumes the action. Only when the cup is back on the plate she raises her hands, enlaces the fingers and rests her chin on top of them.]

[Ukraine will pause for a moment having to think. He's heard of Britannia, but that was certainly not the same as someone calling themselves Britannian. The only thing he can think of was that he'd missed something somewhere down the line of England's history. But that wouldn't be correct because the woman he knew as England certainly wasn't the woman in front of him. It embarrassed him thoroughly to not know, so he looked down at the table.]

Em very sorry but I heff never heard of Britannia as country before.

[Probably to Ukraine's surprise, Britannia keeps right on smiling. The amusement is a little bitter, but it's present. So far, her existence is in the minority, which bothers her.]

It's alright, there appears to be some sort of... continuity issues between the countries present. The Holy Empire of Britannia is based in North and South America and controls just over a third of the planet.

...Wouldn't Canada and Amerika be... no.

[Ukraine sets his jaw. He's incredibly close to Canada as a nation and the thought of having his friend gone is unfathomable to him. It's not something that he will believe. As for continuity issues, he highly doubts they exist. Surely Canada and America would never join together along with all of the other nations in South America into....her.

Shaking his head he'll watch her again. Cautiously.]

Why do you think that?

Because they are very much two independent nations that heff fought hard to be themselves. Although they are good siblings... they would not join together. Canada and Amerika is like oil and water. Does not work together. People are too different.

[He'll shake his head and watch her for another moment.]

When is it that you are from that you do not know such things? I em beginning to think that you know nothing of history.

After the American Revolutionary War failed and Napoleon took London, Sir Ricardo von Britannia took Elizabeth III and the other remaining loyalists to the New World where she named him her successor on her deathbed. Afterward, King Ricardo united North America and created Britannia.

There is so much wrong with what you said. Non of that happened, in fact, was opposite.

[OOC: So funny, all I can think of is the history behind Codes Geass and Britannia there. but thanks, don't worry about Ukraine he's from the 1920's when everything was going to hell in a handbasket.]

America became independent long ago and not long after Canada did as well but kept loyal to England. It took some time but it worked for them. America had their revolution and England left them alone, Napoleon never made it to England and was defeated by Prussia. The Spanish never took over because entire fleet was wiped out by a summer hurricane. America and Canada have become world powers, Europe is divided in many areas and a major war just finished. Things are still very divided and I em personally trying to work between fending off Germany, Russia, and Poland. Is little complex right now and I think another war is coming very soon.

[Ukraine is incredibly stressed, not to mention he's worrying about what exactly his little sister Russia is planning with her government.]

[Britannia listens intently, then pauses because... whoa whoa whoa- hang on a second. She knew this guy was Ukrainian but not actually-]

[She'll get an odd look in return.]

Last I checked, em not a girl, nor heff been. Where ever you are from it sounds like is very strange place. But no, today has been weird. MUCH too weird, I do not, cannot be here I heff things going on back home and this is... no, just is not how it is.

[He'll put his face in his hands, fighting tears.]

Is not so strange as is different. Architecture reminds me of somewhere closer to Western Europe but is not bad. I heff feeling I will like it here better than I think I do.

Like England? [She takes another glance around and has to agree with Ukraine on that. It's too... simplistic for her people, but lacks the distinct culture of some other civilizations found in the East.]

Mebbe... was thinking Germany or Northern France. England likes copper roofs and brass embellishments on buildings.
