Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

Different? [Just the slightest hint of concern there, although she's obviously doing her best to avoid any overt emotional reactions. The touching was apparently bad enough.]

There seems to be an unfortunate variation between points of origin among those I've met thus far here.

[She fidgets.] I'm from 1998?

....1998? But that's... how? I mean 78 years is not very long for nations but how is it that we are from so far apart?

[His hand will tighten a little on her shoulder as his anxiety rises. He's not too sure what to make of it, but it distresses him that she's not the same Estonia as he knew but one from the future. There was too much and too many new things coming at him at once and the stress of everything was starting to get to him as his eyes teared up.]

... No. No. Don't cry, it's alright! [Raising her hand again, she wraps her hand around his wrist in a gesture that she can only hope is comforting. It may not be. At all.]

I don't know what's going on yet, but I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation and we needn't worry.

[Her hand on his wrist only confirms his suspicions and he moves away slightly. He's not used to her being at all compassionate or wanting to be touched. It's too strange and Ukraine can't help but start sobbing and wiping at his eyes.]

Em sorry but this is... it does not make sense...

[Ukraine will sit down on the curb of the sidewalk and put his face in his hands.]

[That is not not crying and now Estonia is in the all too familiar state of not knowing what in the world she should do. When he sits, she flails, looking around as if to gauge who in the vacinity might be more appropriate for dealing with this, then awkwardly goes to kneel in front of him, patting his leg once before withdrawing her hand and simply staring at him, waiting for him to calm down.]

[It is crying and after a few moments it'll taper off and he'll just sit there for a few moments before wiping his eyes on his sleeve. He feels embarrassed at suddenly breaking into tears but feels slightly better for it. He'll sigh and fiddle with the end of his scarf once he's stopped crying and watch her for a moment.]

I... I know. [Busy though she may have been at the time, she always made a point of looking for news from Ukraine's.] But you're strong and you're not alone and you just need to keep your wit about you and everything will be fine.

Yes, I suppose so. I do not think I can keep fighting off Poland too much longer back home. As for here... I don't even know why we're here. I guess is nice change to not heff to worry about such things but...Ah is hard.

[He'll sigh and give her a faint smile.]

[After an awkward pause, she stands again, still looking at him. Another pause, and then she offers him her hand to help stand.]

Is okie, there is just much happening and much stress.

[He'll take her hand and stand up once again, brushing off his pants after a moment.]

Heff you liked what you've seen of your school?

[She nods, pulling her hand away again, lest that set off another panic.]

There are books and computers. It will do.

Computers?

[Utter blank stare.]

[And her face lights up.]

Computers! They're these fantastic technological advances that combine the best of typewriters and wires and electricity, and facilitate the storage of information, some gaming functionalities, and communication via a complex, yet utterly fascinating, network system.

[pysankya]

[Ukraine will stare blankly once again and blink several times as he thinks over what she's told him. It sounds terribly complex.]

So, are like electronic typewriters? Seems strange to heff such thing. You like t'em?

Latvia accuses me of loving them. And they're not strange at all once you get used to them, I promise. They're terribly useful.

Cannot be harder than using typewriter and not making mistakes. And they communicate like telephones? It seems very interesting that such progress has been made.

Precisely. You can write over any information you make a mistake on, rather than dealing with the error in the typoface on the page. I'll have to show you how they work some time.
