I need some help with some social studies network.

The teacher assigned a question asking to compare a monarchy and democracy.

Can someone explain to me what a democracy is first?

I think they are things they had in the past, one of them might have been to do with royalty? We could look it up in the library! [Don't mind him, he is so excited about the big library here!]

So do you think it will be under history? Or politics? [Because it was something from Shion's past, but it might be a different worlds present. He had no idea how this other world thing really worked.]

A democracy is supposed to be something where all adults have a say in things that affect their lives. There are things like elections and voting... I think it's a good system.

A democracy is a system of rule where people get to decide who they want making all their important decisions, usually through an election. A monarchy is when a single bloodline rules through a god given right, generally called a divine monarchy.

Also, in a nation operated by a monarchy, their ruler and his family are called royalty.

No problem, and most people don't really remember the part about god anymore so I guess it's not important.
