001 ✩ Bar Fighting Class - Fortitude

Summary: Yuri's first day on the job is going... well, let's just say he wasn't made to teach.
Warnings: Shenanigans.

[When you walk into the classroom, you'll find that a majority of the desks and chairs have been cleared away to make a large, empty space in the middle of the room. The few furnishings that are present within the setting have been set to the side and look more like the tables and chairs you'd find at a restaurant than a classroom, possibly to help set the atmosphere.

The windows, rather helpfully, are large enough to accommodate a body flying through them and have been opened wide for just such an event. If anyone asks? The helper fairies did it, because Yuri sure as heck didn't. He doesn't even know what he's doing here in a teaching position.

At the moment your teacher is looking at the whiteboard pen he's got in his hand with a small amount of curiosity. "Advanced technology" and all that.]

Uh, I guess we'll start off with questions?

Don't worry too much about copying me, focus on doing what feels right. [He adds, watching her copied stance.]

Have you ever thrown a punch before?

Alright. [She relaxes a little, trying to find her own equilibrium. Taking a step back and studying combat is new to her. She'd relied on an inherent home grown advantage and the fervency of someone convinced of their own righteousness before. At his question though she grins mischeviously, remembering the poor Ghost Professor and how he'd crumpled from her angry haymaker.] Just once.

Well from the look on your face, I'd say you did pretty good. [He shifts, positioning his legs evenly apart but not so far that he can be unbalanced.]

Punching's about movement, building up momentum from the bottom up. [He shifts his waist as he does a slow version of a punch to show her.] Try to recreate what you did before.

Oh, I probably shouldn't do that. It was pretty wild. It probably only worked because he wasn't expecting it. [Being Professor Nemuro is suffering. She tries to imitate his punch instead.]

Now I'm starting to get curious. [At her imitation, he'll give her a smile and raise his hands, very obviously proclaiming he's empty handed, before pointing close to her hip.] You need to use this more.

He was manipulating people and ruining their lives. He tried to kill my best friend a couple times. [She marvels at being able to recall this. Gain memories, lose some. She can't remember his name, but the events of that month, formerly blocked out, are now crystal clear. She turns her hip over with the punch, feeling the swing.] Like that? Are we gonna get to hit a bag or something? [Or a kangaroo? She's seen that happen.]

Sounds like he deserved it.

[He steps back to watch her movements, noticing it's slowly getting smoother. It's not perfect yet but only practice and experience will give that. Hey, at least she's on the right path.] I can set it up if you want.
