Lelouch vi Britannia vs. Feferi Peixes

Weapons: Kotarou and Britannia vs Suzaku
Location: Grassy area near Fortitude's campus
Time of day: After class Monday

Lelouch had sent a message to Feferi challenging her to this fight, telling her to expect a better battle than last time. He supposed that would be enough of a clue that this was going to be an actual fight, instead of just a forfeiture and a transfer. He was looking forward to seeing just what a fully upgraded weapon was capable of, and he was glad that Kotarou offered him that chance.

He didn't draw any weapons, he simply waited with the child and his country, waiting for the troll girl to appear with his knight.

Kotarou rather ruined the whole impression Lelouch was trying to give of a calm, collected front. Irritated by waiting, nervous about being owned by some new guy, and excited to see what his weapon would do now he'd finished pouring all of his raks into it, the kid was shifting from foot to foot or just pacing around, looking this way and that for whoever it was his Player had challenged to a fight.

It was unnerving not to have Oichi's quiet singsong filling the silence, if he was honest with himself. He'd gotten used to it.

"They're taking ages. Doesn't that disqualify them?"

As a whole, Lelouch's weapons were not contributing to his attempt to appear dignified and poised. If anything, they were probably hindering it.

Britannia in particular wasn't exactly helpful as she lay draped over his shoulders, resting her chin on top of her arm as she waited for their opponents to appear. Waking up early to meet Lelouch outside of his room recently, per her promise, had left her tired and a little bit grumpy. Worse, if she didn't do it, the young- prince? Emperor? Was liable to try and avoid her entirely for the whole day, so she really didn't have much of a choice.

"It should, this is rude." Britannia replied absently, smothering a yawn and glancing at Kotarou wearily. Mind, she was probably the last person to speak about being rude.

"Pardon me? That seems rather uncalled for, doesn't it?" Feferi's voice was, perhaps, a bit louder than it would have been otherwise. "I had very little control over the fact that one of our headmistress' required classes ran about five minutes late. My apologies, but that's what happened."

That said, Feferi took a deep breath, getting her composure back, and waited for Suzaku.

Suzaku was right behind her and he nodded in apology. "Sorry we're late..." He nodded at Britannia as well and the kid, who he guessed was Lelouch's second weapon.

"Excuse the impatience of my Weapons, they make poor spokesmen," he replied smoothly. You guys are jerks. He gestured for Kotarou to come into position since he was effectively pinned. "Shall we have our battle, without further ado?"

It's their job, okay. Especially when they're fighting some kind of demoness. Kotarou scowled, but wandered back over to stand within range.

Spotting Suzaku, Britannia cheered up a little and gave him a little wave, thought she didn't move from her position around Lelouch. "It doesn't matter, if you're late you're late." She remarks, though the remark is made with amusement and doesn't seem to be a serious complaint.

Still, at the mention of the battle beginning, Britannia straightens until only her arm is wrapped around Lelouch's shoulders, loosely hanging there like a snake might.

"Thanks for understanding," Feferi answered. She couldn't figure out why Kotarou was scowling like that, but she brushed it off as getting into the mood for a fight and not a personal insult.

"If we're ready..." She nodded to Suzaku, then proceeded to draw his weapon. Wait - that was...what was that star? She looked at it for a moment, clearly taken a bit off-guard.

Was that - what was that star?

Suzaku wondered at the scowling as well but pushed the thought away as he went to let Feferi draw his weapon. It still felt strange and he wasn't sure if he would ever get used to the feeling. He blinked though as the star appeared.

"Another star..." So far the only one's he had seen were in the battles by the headteachers and prefects and when he had drew Lelouch's weapon. "That wasn't there last time."

A strange kind of feeling went through him when the star came out. He wasn't sure how to identify it, but his face remained unchanged. He was even cordial. He pulled out Kotarou's charm and Britannia's sword in short order. He had been pulling to mind his memories of sword practice with Suzaku when they were children. Of course, it was closer to just flailing than practice, but just because his body didn't perfectly imitate the motions didn't mean his eyes and mind hadn't memorized them at the time.

He pushed Kotarou's charm into his pants pocket and took a ready kind of stance. It was very similar to Suzaku's, for obvious reasons.
