[ it was a hot day, very hot. being by the lake made it possibly a bit cooler but that wasn't what made Arthur feel ill, if anything it was that bloody sun.

luckily there was a tree beside the lake, frequently the man would splash his face with water and lean back against the tree, staying calm in the shade. ]

Damn...

[ arthur groaned, his eyes felt like they were burning ]

[ Lemina is getting acquainted with this new city by wandering around and seeing what she can see. When she comes to the lake, she notices a man -- one of the other people from the train -- sitting there under a tree, groaning all angstily like the world is ending. sorry arthur, she's kind of a jerk ]

Yeah, this place kind of stinks, doesn't it?

[ he's wiping sweat from his head - can vampires even sweat?! he is.

staring up at her ] Too... hot.

[ that was all he could think of, crawling from under the tree to splash himself wet with the lake's water again ]

Is it always like this here?

I wouldn't know. I just got here today. [ Sigh. ] Doesn't seem that hot to me... Are you from someplace cold?

I believe so... [ he pauses ] I can't seem to remember where, how odd.

[Kotaro was on an adventure! He had his parasol so he wasn't too worried about the sun and he was exploring! His brother hadn't been at the train, which was sad. Because it had been ages now and his brother still hadn't turned up to save him!

He saw the man under the tree and skipped over.] Hello!

You could always go to whatever school you're assigned to and stay inside there. Which one did you get?

[ he glanced over at the young boy, standing up ]

Yes, can I help you?

Assigned?

[ he frowns, sounding baffled ]

I'm not a student, I'm a teacher.

[pennypincher]

Oh. [ Haha! She smiles sheepishly. ] Whichever one you were assigned to teach at, I mean! I totally meant that.

Going to the class room to stay out of this sun seems like a rather good idea...

[ he's frowning at her now :| hdu confuse me for a kid!! ]

I'm teaching a crime solving class.

Crime solving? You can teach that kind of thing? Mega-cool! I hope you're at Conquest, I kind of want to go to that one.

[Kotaro had just wanted to say hello, because he liked meeting new people. But when the man spoke his eyes widened and he grinned again before giving an incredibly clumsy bow.

[ o-oh, this makes him a bit sheepish. he smirks through a blush and nods ]

Yes, I am at Conquest actually.

[ her excitement makes up for calling him a student ]

Mega-awesome! If I have to be stuck here going to some stupid school, at least I get to learn something neat.

I'm Lemina Ausa. [ No one else has recognized the magic guild when she mentioned it, and she doesn't think she can take that again right now, so she leaves it out of her introduction. ] And you are?

[ but the heat. the heat and the sunlight. his last attempt to walk under the tree failed miserably to where arthur was falling, crashing into the tree and hitting his head on it ]

Whoa! [ She rushes over to help him to his feet. Ouch, that looked like it hurt... ]

You don't look so good. I think you need to lay down.

Urh... [ although the skin is broken open on his head, no blood appears to be coming out.

he holds onto her to stand up ]

Shall we ... go to the school?

[ Yikes that doesn't look good... Hopefully they'll be able to find a healer at the school. If only she had the Blue Dragon Crest... ]

The school's way on the northeastern side of town, but somehow they manage to make it, although Lemina's huffing and panting long before they do. ] Okay, now where should I drop you off... Is there a teacher's wing or what?

I can continue the rest of the way to the teacher's wing.

[ he nodded, straightening himself up the best he can to walk inside ]

Thank you, Lemina... I... [ a pause, his face is probably flushing even more through the overheated redness ] I hope you are one of my students.

[ Poor Arthur when he finds out there's not one :C ]
