In an attempt to look like he's actually doing his job, and thus avoid Santana's wrath, on Wednesday Golbez hands out a pop quiz on the inner solar system. If you've been paying even the slightest amount of attention to your textbook, you should have no trouble passing.

Feel free to look over your friends' shoulders or whatever it is kids do when they cheat.

b) [ after school/closed ]

Some of the people in this city are battle-hardened warriors, and some of them are twelve-year-old tennis players. Golbez has taken a liking to Kevin -- he's one of the more sensible students around here -- and so has taken it upon himself to train the boy in how to actually fight.

After one such session, Golbez sits beside Kevin in the clearing in the woods they've appropriated for their use and pulls a bottle of juice out of his bag. He hands it over wordlessly, suspecting Kevin might need it.

Still toweling his face and neck off before the sweat gives him a chill from the crisp air, Kevin pauses when Golbez holds out the bottle and gives him a grin as he takes it.

"Thanks." He adds before popping off the cap and taking a mouthful. Someday he'll mention that he always has a water bottle in the tennis bag he brings to these sessions. Someday, when he can find a way to say it without seeming like an ungrateful little brat. For now, he keeps quiet and accepts it like the cool dude he is.

As he hydrates himself, he glances up at the sky and sighs. "Wonder if it snows here too. Feels like it's cold enough for it."

The quiz was relatively easy. Suzaku had found the textbook quite interesting and though he had never learned such things before he didn't have much difficulty completing the quiz.

He approached the desk to hand it in.

One member of the class wasn't doing the quiz at all. Instead he was drawing stars all over the test paper, he hadn't read the textbook. He found it hard to learn anything in class because he got distracted so easily and he didn't really know what any of the questions meant. But stars were pretty and in space, so he figured Golbez wouldn't mind.

And here she comes, twenty minutes late into class an muttering under her breath. This whole new place is confusing, and it doesn't help she's bad at keep tracking time.
