Picnic time! Come one come all!

Location: The woods.
Summary: Shion and Becca go on a picnic, they invite everyone! Tag them, tag each other. Have a food fight!

Shion had spent all his time after work baking. He still couldn't remember how to make cherry pie but he had made some bread rolls and a selection of cakes. He and Becca were taking Mop and Monster on a walk, and for a picnic.

Of course everyone else was invited, Shion asked anyone he saw that day in Fortitude or at work along, and they asked people on the way to the woods.

They found a clearing in the woods and started handing out food. Fending off Mop and Monster who wanted to share the picnic too.

Funnily enough, Dave didn't know about the picnic. He had kind of been all over the place. From running into Davesprite, to getting in a fight with Belarus. To getting his shades broke, and having Sis talk to him after two weeks while he was at work. He had even gotten his turntables and set them up in his dorm.

Now?

He was taking his camera for a whirl. What better place then the woods. He isn't quite man enough to get near the lake for some nice photos, so he's busy snapping photos of the woods, his attention completely focused on keeping his camera steady as he tries to get a photo of a bird that's caught his eye.

Once Becca has everything set up, she's pulled out her notebooks to sketch the surroundings. She turns her attention to that bird as well, sketching it quietly. She spots Dave and his camera, and adds him to the scene, smirking softly.

Since Becca hadn't prompted him or made enough noise to catch his attention, Dave is still pretty much trying to get the perfect photo of this stupid bird. He lets the camera fall back on his chest and shifts the shades (pointed and anime shaped and not his usual aviators) up onto the top of his head before putting the camera back up to eye level.

Bright red irises focused completely on the bird, before there's a small click from his camera.

"Did you get it?" she asked quietly when she heard the shutter. She didn't want to startle the bird and ruin his photograph, but she was curious about how he was faring.

His change in glasses didn't get much of her attention. She noticed, but she didn't really know that his usual shades were his 'signature', nor that the pointed ones had any significance.

The only indication of being startled is the slight jump as he turned in her direction. Oh. Holy shit, when did you get there. He slides the shades back over his eyes out of instinct, and lets the camera hang loosely from his neck.

He gives her a curt nod before jabbing his thumb at the picnic ensemble curiously.

"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you," she offered after seeing his jump. Still, she smiled cheerily when he indicated the picnic. "Me and Shion wanted to have a picnic, but we started inviting everybody. Want some? It's for sharing," she insisted, going over to the food to start making a plate for him.

Shion saw Dave and waved going over. Of course Shion being Shion noticed that his glasses were different. "Hello Dave!" It was almost becoming instinct to check his face for bruises now.

[Yuki gets swept up during the walk over to the woods and decides to come along, she expresses her sorrow about now knowing about the picnic in advance, she would have made something. But she helps set up blankets and food and is generally cheery.]

Do you need help with anything?

No, no, it's fine. Relax!

[Becca grins brightly, then yelps and moves to deflect Monster from helping himself to the food.]

Except keeping an eye on these two, I guess. They think it's all for them!

[Shion is here to intervene and help move Monster away.] Hello! [She was one of Sora's friends, but aside from that he didn't know her. He smiled brightly anyways.]

[she smiles brightly at them]

It was a good idea to have a picnic in the woods, whose idea was it?

Shion's. He has all sorts of awesome ideas.

[she turns to Shion]

I have to agree, this is a wonderful idea, [she turns back to Becca] but you helped set it up, so thank you as well. Are you sure you don't need any other help?

Becca herself is most excited about spending time with Shion. In fact, those that are of the type to tease might get the feeling that some commentary about their relationship would be worth jibing about. Still, she's got smiles for everyone and she sets up the food with a cheery expression.

She hovers around Shion most, taking his hand whenever she can get away with it, but she's still more than happy to talk to anyone.

"Dig in, today's gonna be great!"

Shion is completely oblivious. He helped set up the food, pausing every so often to pull Mop or Monster away.

"It will be, even if this fog doesn't look like it is going to clear." Not that he had any idea how to really tell that, his head hurt just thinking about it.

"This was such a good idea. Thank you, Shion," she insists, moving to try to take his hand again. This time, she also leans in, considering trying to kiss his cheek.

Shion didn't mind her taking his hand, he smiled at her. Grabbing another box of bread rolls. "Do you think a lot of people will come?"

Yes, Becca decides, kissing his cheek is a good idea. She leans in to brush her lips over his cheek affectionately.

"I dunno. It'll be fun if there's lots of people. But it'll be fun spending time just with you even if there's not."

He blinked, but Becca was from a different world than him, one where they did things differently. "It will be." He smiled.

Then Monster, deciding he wanted attention pounced on Shion attempting to lick his face.

Soubi is just sitting under a tree and away from the rest of the group. He does enjoy the food, but talking to others isn't the type of thing he normally does.

He doesn't get to play loner at Becca and Shion's picnic. Becca wanders over and sits down beside him, pulling out her notebook so she can begin to sketch him. "What's your name?"
