Poison class week 8 Thursday
Characters: Day and Conquest Students
Format: Whatever you wish
This log is: Open class post!
Location: Poison lab
Summary: Week eight poison class: How to avoid being poisoned (aka Poison identification). Open to all. If your character is new they will just be thrown into the deep end!
Warnings: Mentions of poison, frank discussion of death etc
[beginning] It was important before beginning a class to have a basic understanding of what your characters already knew. However from the last round Day was certain that none of her students had the faintest clue about detecting poison, in food or otherwise. So she had blank slates to work with, which was fine with her.
Of course once she taught them this it would be harder to poison them, but if Santana wanted to she would just have to work harder. Good practice for her as well.
She had taken out the food from the cupboard where she had stored it, and brought some perfectly edible none poisonous food from the cafeteria. It was all on a table in the middle of the room. She waited until everyone was seated before speaking.
"Today you will be learning how to detect poison in food or drink. This is an important lesson and I hope that you pay attention." She handed out sheets that listed what some of the most comon poisons smelled and tasted like. She left them to read and went round answering questions.
[middle] Day collected the sheets from the students after half an hour and moved back to the front of the classroom. "Now, an exercise to see how well you were listening. When I call your name please move to the center table, you must identify three items that you believe to be poisoned and one that you believe to be safe. Eat or drink the item you believe to be safe. Don't worry about being poisoned, I have all the antidotes here and since this is your first try I will see that you are not harmed at all."
She meant it as well, she might poison the whole school because Santana was hurt but in her class they were her apprentices and she had a duty to make sure they learned well, and that would not come if they developed a fear of poison this early on.
[end] After class Day began to clear up the items, sticking around in case any students had questions.

Ah well, more fool her next time Day poisons everyone and she can't identify what is poisoned because she skipped class.
Will serve her right.]

Cirno.

Huh? Oh...Okay.
[She walks forward and circles the table a few times before pointing out two things]
I think it's those two that are poisoned...and....This one is safe.
[She picks up another and eats it quickly, her eyes shut tightly, waiting to see if she was even close]

More importantly she got the safe food right, Day nodded feeling proud of her though it could have just been luck.] Well done Cirno, you pass.
[She hands Cirno two raks, like she gives to the student who performs the best each week. Cirno's sudden improvement earns the prize for this week.
See Day is nice sometimes.
Sometimes]

Huh? Oh...Thank you Miss Day!
[Have a bright smile from the tiny girl Day. She was happy to be doing things right...for now at least!]
