Assembly [Both Schools]

On Sunday morning, a day that dawned bright if a bit crisp and cold the screens on the campus' instructed everyone to go to their foyers at twelve as normal. The Conquest students would see Day stood on stage with Santana, Cirno, Yuka and Suzaku. The Fortitude kids would see Dolorosa stood with Becca, Alex and Yuri.

However the two headmistress' were not the one who spoke, instead the screens flickered to life and it was Dunleavy's face that smiled down on them. "Hello students and teachers of Conquest and Fortitude, welcome to those who are new and I hope that those who went on the school trip last week had a fulfilling time. You all did well and the winners of our competition will be announced when they are compiled."

She smiled at them again, "I hope you are all ready to get back to work, and study hard this week. I will leave you to your studies with the list of those who are Players this week." With another smile she disappeared from the screen and the list came up.

"Ah! I was just going to ask if you'd vow with me! I know it's kind of sudden, but you're someone I think I can trust..." Then Sora finished parsing the middle of his sentence, and blinked. "Becca? What about her?"

Alex grins proudly, "We l-linked round b-before last!" He had gotten up the courage and made it really romantic and everything! "Of c-course you c-can trust me!

Some people might point out that when someone says something like "you can trust me", it makes you sound less trustworthy. But Sora wasn't really like that, and she didn't change her impressions of people that easily.

"What's a link?"

Also, she had other things on her mind at the time.

Alex was one of those people who honestly meant what he said. He wasn't in a habit of lying- he rather disliked it actually, and only would if it saved his life, or would keep those he cared about out of grave danger and even then it left a bad taste in his mouth.

"B-basically, it means if you v-vow with me, you get Becca, an' vice-v-versa. If e-either of us are players we automatically g-get the other as a weapon t-too!"

"Huh... I guess it explains that somewhere in the rulebook?" She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "There's a lot of it I've only skimmed so far..."

Alex smiles and nods, "Y-yeah, it's a small bit. I've r-read it all a few times over." If you are going to break rules, you better know them well first.

"Huh... I'd better spend some more time looking at it. I get sleepy if I spend too much time at it though..." It wasn't that she disliked reading or anything, just that she found the rulebook in particular hard to wade through. That was definitely one thing where this was a lot like home!

Sora thought about it some more. Becca was nice too, so... "Yeah, that should be okay! So, um... I vow to protect both of you! ... Huh, that actually makes a lot more sense here."

Alex checked for the mark that would symbolize him being a vowed weapon and smiled up to Sora. "A-awesome! Th-thanks! Uh, c-can we eat from the normal menu an' use the c-computers?" He was glad to have the protection of a player, even if only for the computer and the better food.

"Of course!" Sora paused for a moment. "I don't really understand that stuff... there wasn't any rule like that at my old school."

Alex scratches the back of his head, laughing a bit nervously. "Y-yeah, weapons n-need permission ta do b-basically anything. All m-my players so far've g-given it though."

"That's good... but I don't really get that part of the system at all!" For someone proclaiming their ignorance, Sora sounds awfully cheerful.

"I-it's okay! I-I h-had ta study th-them ta get them!" He laughs, scratching the back of his head.
