Meet and Greet [intro #1]

As you all crowd onto the platform with your bizarre mix of faces, expressions, clothing and wild theories, you are met by two girls. Both are in uniforms that would match if not for the colour differences - skirt, waistcoat, and a light summer shirt that seems totally inappropriate for the thin layer of snow coating the station platform. Both have a beret with a crest - one's shows a sword, the other's a shield.

At the first lull in the chatter, the taller girl, her uniform red and white, speaks out over the crowd.

"Hey, losers!"

She explains, in short, irritated sentences, that they're prefects, representing the two schools in Rakuen. Santana, Conquest, she says, gesturing to herself with a smile that would be smug if she didn't look so annoyed to be out here. Nanami here is Fortitude, she adds, pointing to the pale girl half-leaning on her other arm. The girl nods.

"We're here to get you sorted and back to campus. If you wanna ask stupid questions, do it on the way. It's freezing out here."

The girl introduced as Nanami interrupts. "When we say your name, please move quickly and quietly to us."

"Yeah, then we can go back to the dorms."

They separate, moving to stand several metres apart, and both pull a list from their waistcoat pocket. Alternating, they start to read out your names.

[in a warning tone] Nanami. If you do anything to her I will take you down. It will make this rivalry look petty.

[ and her voice goes cold and flat again. ]

With her in Conquest, there is little I could do. Please don't misunderstand me, Santana. I would only move if it became necessary. After all, I bear her no hard feelings. How could I? I have never met her.

Who knows what you're capable of, perhaps you'll pretend to be sickly and weak and you'll get some Fortitude kids to do something to her for you. Let's get this straight, anything happens to her and I'll take all of you down.

[effortless]

Understood. [ a quiet laugh behind her sleeve, which turns into a cough. When she's done, she straightens. The new arrivals have finally all emptied from the train. ]

[straightupzorra]

[she holds Nanami up while she coughs and her voice gets a bit softer] Don't die on me now.

[effortless]

[ despite their conversation before, she accepts the help. ] What a bad first impression that would make.

[straightupzorra]

[she laughs] Welcome to Fortitude, your Prefect has died.

[effortless]

[ she pauses, as a thought comes to her. ] Oh, death is permanent in other worlds... I had almost forgotten. Do you suppose we ought to tell them?

[straightupzorra]

I guess so. I'd rather not have to deal with people killing themselves and dealing with them when they come back.

[effortless]

And they might end up reacting poorly to one of Day's experiments if they still believe death is of any importance. That would be unseemly.

[straightupzorra]

Can't ruin Day's fun. Besides, Day's fun is my fun as well. [a scary grin]

[effortless]

Ah, speaking of fun... [ and then it's time to give their little speech. ]
