Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

Here. Look through them. [Slipping the glasses off, she holds them out in Lithuania's general direction.]

[Lithuania blinks and peers through them curiously.]

Do you see how things look magnified? That's exactly what I need to be able to see clearly.

[duchy]

Ohh.

[Lithuania looks around through the glasses a bit, looking every bit the child he appears to be.]

What did you do before you got these?

Walked into things. Once I spilt water I was bringing in for Russia over Latvia.

[duchy]

[And Lithuania blanks out, because Russia is one of Lithuania's forgotten memories. But oh well he at least got the "run into things" part.]

I guess if you see without the glasses how I see with them that'd be kind of dangerous.

[independencesong]

It was, yes. Thankfully, my vision was never too poor before Sweden lost me.

[Then it was only headaches when she read. The walking into everything came once Russia started terrorizing her.]

[duchy]

You get conquered by Sweden?

[Handing the glasses back!]

[independencesong]

I get conquered by everybody. [She cleans them on her shirt out of habit before slipping them back on, a finger on the bridge to push them up her nose.]

Sweden took-- takes, I suppose, me from your and Poland's house.

[duchy]

I live with Poland?

[Said in the same tone one might use to describe finding out they live with twenty wild horses in a house or something.]

I think it's Poland's idea, if that makes you feel any better.

[duchy]

But he's weird and loud and bossy and he raids me and he's stupid, too, probably.

[independencesong]

Incredibly stupid. But you are incredibly patient. [Eventually. Sometimes.]

[duchy]

But I don't want to convert.

[Right now, he is eight.]

[independencesong]

Do you think any of us did?

[duchy]

I dunno.

[Crossing his arms.]

I only will when I can't do anything else.

[independencesong]

That'll still happen eventually. Even your brilliance runs out.

[duchy]

Really?

[Sounding faintly disappointed.]

[independencesong]

Yes. But you never lose your fighting spirit, so don't worry too much.

[duchy]

[Lithuania's quieter--obviously worrying, since Lithuania has worried since he was born.]

I don't like it when people just do whatever they want to me.

[independencesong]

Well, who would? [After a moment, Estonia pulls over a nearby chair to sit hersef down, setting down her book as she does.]

No one gets much say in it, though.

[duchy]

You get a say if you're strong.

[It's part of why he's distressed; obviously he doesn't get strong enough fast enough.]

[independencesong]

[Estonia goes quiet at that, for a very long moment. She doesn't know how to deal with Lithuania in her lost phases on good days, this is completely foreign to her.]

I'm sorry.

[duchy]

[Lithuania's quiet, mulling things over. He thinks he can trust Estonia at least enough to not lie.]

What happens to me in the future?

[Because this is a good question to ask, right?]
