Meet and Greet [Intro #2]

You are brought to your campus and shown to your dorm rooms before you are given permission to wander the campus and the town. Meaning Fortitude students can mingle with Conquest students, they can go visit the shop (shop post will be up later today), or speak to the headmistresses and mayor. Each student now has the Exaclan manuals, a uniform, a school bag with either a shield or a sword on it, and the glove used to pull weapons.

But make sure to come to the battle area later to see the exhibition match! 

Take advantage of the free day, the freedom won't last long. Sooner rather than the later the round will start, Players will be named, Weapons will lose their privileges, and the battles will begin. So you might as well go out and make friend or start rivalries, anything to help you along later in the round.

I get conquered by everybody. [She cleans them on her shirt out of habit before slipping them back on, a finger on the bridge to push them up her nose.]

Sweden took-- takes, I suppose, me from your and Poland's house.

I live with Poland?

[Said in the same tone one might use to describe finding out they live with twenty wild horses in a house or something.]

I think it's Poland's idea, if that makes you feel any better.

But he's weird and loud and bossy and he raids me and he's stupid, too, probably.

Incredibly stupid. But you are incredibly patient. [Eventually. Sometimes.]

[duchy]

But I don't want to convert.

[Right now, he is eight.]

Do you think any of us did?

[duchy]

I dunno.

[Crossing his arms.]

I only will when I can't do anything else.

[independencesong]

That'll still happen eventually. Even your brilliance runs out.

[duchy]

Really?

[Sounding faintly disappointed.]

[independencesong]

Yes. But you never lose your fighting spirit, so don't worry too much.

[duchy]

[Lithuania's quieter--obviously worrying, since Lithuania has worried since he was born.]

I don't like it when people just do whatever they want to me.

[independencesong]

Well, who would? [After a moment, Estonia pulls over a nearby chair to sit hersef down, setting down her book as she does.]

No one gets much say in it, though.

[duchy]

You get a say if you're strong.

[It's part of why he's distressed; obviously he doesn't get strong enough fast enough.]

[independencesong]

[Estonia goes quiet at that, for a very long moment. She doesn't know how to deal with Lithuania in her lost phases on good days, this is completely foreign to her.]

I'm sorry.

[duchy]

[Lithuania's quiet, mulling things over. He thinks he can trust Estonia at least enough to not lie.]

What happens to me in the future?

[Because this is a good question to ask, right?]

Lots of things.

[duchy]

Specifically.

I don't think I should tell you specifics.

[duchy]

[Another pause.]

That means it's bad.

[independencesong]

Some of it. Some of it is good, while the rest of it is an excellent show of why our region has the worst luck in the world, and sometimes utterly terrifying.

[duchy]

[Lithuania grumbles, frustrated with the lack of anything concrete, and sits on the floor in the dramatic sort of way only a child can manage.]

I'm from 1998. Pouting's not going to get you details, by the way.

[duchy]

[Hm... Well, the 1950s aren't as far in the future as the 1990s, but he'll just have to try Latvia.]

I know.

[Pouting anyway.]
