Monday: Art class
Characters: Roxie Richter, any and all Fortitude studentsBeing told she was supposed to teach art hadn't bothered Roxie. She didn't have a teaching license or anything, but whatever -- she knew art, she could teach art. She had better things to do, but she might as well help enrich the next generation's minds while she was at it. Or something.
Format: Any
This log is: open
Location: Art class
Summary: ART CLASS. Tag Roxie, or thread around amongst yourselves.
Warnings: art class
Or so she thought until she sat down on Sunday night to come up with a lesson plan and found that she had no idea what she was doing.
Anyone coming into the art classroom on Monday morning will find Roxie sitting grumpily behind a desk. On the whiteboard behind her, she's scrawled the words, "DRAW SOMETHING."

He watched the other student with interest.

So he set to doing some basic guidelines for a person.

He stared at the blank piece of paper and then at what the boy was drawing. He grinned at him, "What are you drawing?"
What even counted as art anyways?

"I'm not sure, I've never drawn before." It couldn't be too difficult though, just lines and shapes on paper, same as writing.

He knew he wasn't actually that great of an artist. He only did those comics for ironic purposes. But he found that he did want to improve at the very least. Hah, expressing himself. What bullcrap.
Dave just sat down and stared at the whiteboard. Oh boy, that sure is helpful.

He finally raises his hand. Hey, look. He's being a good student and waiting to be called on. Mostly because he's hoping she'll approach him because he can't exactly shout.
no subject
She really, really hopes he doesn't ask any pushy questions like "What do I draw" or "How do I draw" or "Do you even know what you're doing".

He grabs the closest piece of scrap paper and writes on it, holding it up to her. It's rather simple. All the paper says is 'Tips?' on it. He isn't even asking how to draw or anything. Just pointers.
no subject
"Uh... use a pencil," she suggests. "You have one of those, right? Or there's some paint over on those shelves." She gestures to the side of the room.
no subject
How stupid of him. Of course he needs a pencil to draw. Forget the fact he also needed the pencil to write Tips on this sheet of paper. He glances at the paint though. Maybe he could go finger painting all up in dis shit.
God that sounds so kindergarten.

"Have fun." And she opens up a book and starts reading.

Way to be a problem child, Dave.

"Something the matter?"

He would need a lot more practice. The teacher didn't seem that interested in teaching the class or didn't know how to teach so Shion was a little stuck. He looked around and saw Becca sat at the back. He got up and went over to sit next to her, because she looked upset.
"Hello Becca!"

"Don't touch me!"
Suddenly a threadjack
He casually got to his feet and made his way over to Shion and Becca though. His expression was unreadable as ever and he taps Shion's shoulder before folding his arms and glancing at Becca. At least, it looks like he glanced at her. Who knows. Honestly, he didn't even know why she was freaking out, since Shion didn't seem to be doing anything out of the ordinary. But hey, if it'll get his Weapon to stop freaking out, he'll deal.

When he looked up at the touch on his shoulder he paled a bit at the kid with sunglasses, who even though was a few years younger than Shion, looked angry.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to hurt her!"
no subject
"I'm okay... I'm okay..."

didnt think you did
just thought we should ease into some air time since touching is a no go
you know like air hugs and pats
im sure the air around her will appreciate it
and she would greatly appreciate it to
think touching is a touchy subject for her???
He didn't know why thought. Dave looked back at her before folding his arms again. He didn't look convinced yet that she was just okay.
no subject
"I am sorry Becca, I didn't mean to scare you. I was just worried." He looked back at Dave, he was good to come to Becca's rescue, and Shion was glad she had found a friend already.

how about we get back to this drawing shit???
since the teacher isnt really teaching
i think we could have some shitty draw off or something
assuming neither of you are not secretly master drawers
i bet you guys are but whatever
drawing with people
thats a thing right???
people do that
Because Dave honestly never did this with people before. He always kind of had his own agenda. And he couldn't really make his shitty, ironic comics with other people. Especially since they sometimes got...well they weren't usually school appropriate.
and then Katy forgot she wouldn't get a notif oops
"I'm Shion by the way."

Gosh. All this Debbie Downer bullshit was going to piss him off one day. But, he's already seen that anything physical would freak her out. How do you kindly tell someone to suck it up? Probably will just shrug it off and head back to his seat so he can stare at blank paper again.
i draw a lot
but i guess ironic internet comics
means that being a good artist doesnt really apply
