Round 2

It could be a repeat of last week, Dolorosa stand on the podium looking out over the students of Fortitude, "Welcome students, I hope you have had a good week. I enjoyed watching you battle, even if we have lost the first round. Don't look down, there are many rounds to come."

If you were here last round you may notice that Nanami, Fortitude's prefect, is missing, "Before I go on and announce the winners of last round and the new Players for this round, I would like to inform you that breaking the rules is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Nanami has been punished for behavior unbecoming of a prefect, if I will punish her I will punish you as well.

"It is worth knowing that the rules are on page nine of the player handbook which you all have been given. Any one who cannot read may request a copy be sent to their PDA, an advanced PDA will read the rules to you. Please do not break the rules and give me an excuse to punish you" The peaceful smile on her face may be a bit disconcerting.

"Since we have covered that, we can now move on. While we did not win the round I would still like to congratulate you on a wonderful round. Conquest not only won more battles than us but one of their players hit the win condition. If you turn your attention to the screen behind me it will show the battles found by Fortitude."

On the screen behind her the Battle records for Fortitude and the Inter-school battles that they had fought were shown. She read the Fortitude battle records first.

She smiles kindly at the crowd, "I'm proud of you, there were very few Fortitude only battles, only one in fact, Dave vs Kotaru, congratulations Dave for winning.

"Also in fighting Conquest you all fought valiantly and I am proud of all of you. Extra notice goes to Dave for beating Feferi, Spain for defeated Golbez, Vriska for defeating Feferi, and Lelouch for defeating Homura," she claps politely and expects the others to clap as well.

"While no one in Fortitude won this round I would like to extend our congratulations to Conquest for winning and particularly Lithuania for winning the round. We should be gracious losers and fight harder next round. There is nothing to be ashamed of."

The battle records disappear. "Next I welcome our new students who joined us yesterday, you have been placed into a very kind school, so please enjoy your stay. Now I have here the list of those chosen to be Players this round, for those who have just joined us this means these students and faculty are the only persons with rights this week. The rest of you have no rights, you may be granted rights by being owned by a Player." Her smile doesn't waver, "I'm sure all of you will grant your Weapon's rights.

"To own a weapon you must vow to them, you know the vow has worked when they receive a shield mark on their hand," she held her own hand up to show to new ones what it looked like. "Players may give their Weapons permission to access the school facilities, and to eat from the full cafeteria menu among other things. If you haven't got a Player then you are a Discard, make sure you know all the rules and do exactly what Nanami tells you to, as after today she will not be punished. There is no school today but I suggest you use the time to vow to Weapons if you are a Player or find a Player if you are a Weapon. School is Monday to Friday starting 8am, I look forward to seeing you in my classroom."

Hey Vriska? Want to band together with Dave to cock stomp whoever thought the memory loss part was a good idea? Because this might be a thing that Dave wants to actually attempt on his free time.

He nods a little. Then points to the crest to try and indicate what school John was. Obviously, if John was Fortitude, Dave was vowing with him.

Vriska wouldn't be adverse to this plan. In fact, she'd enjoy it a little too much. She's tired of the glaring gaps in her memories that she can't seem to fill no matter how much she pieces memories around it together.

"He's in Fortitude."

Nice that they can agree on this. Dave keeps feeling like he's missing some very important details to his life, and it's really a bitch trying to figure out what he won't be able to figure out...

He nods though. Fortitude. John Egbert would join his shitty weapons army. Sans fridge.

[fabricates]

Hey, Dave. Quit discriminating against your other weapons, you insufferable prick.

Vriska didn't bring up the whole deaf detail, because she really didn't want to be the one dealing with saying it. It was much like not wanting to be the one to tell John that his Dad was dead. Besides, she didn't even know all the details of it anyone and it was John's business to tell. She'd stay out of it.

But he needs to fill out his insufferable prick quota. How can you deny him of it?

All of them being from different points in time sure was a headache. Dave wasn't even sure who knew what and just assumed if it became something they all had to talk about, they would. He rather not talk about it since it reminds him just how much he can't still remember about certain events.

He shivers a bit. Fuck this weather. This shop is too far.

Easily! Because she's a bitch.

She caught that shiver and snorted at it.

"Can't handle a little cold? Don't be such a wriggler."

She'd never admit it but she's freezing. Alternia just doesn't get intense cold weather like this, but she's not going to go around letting it show.

[knightime]

He gives you a look. One in which it doesn't really look like any different expression. You can just assume he doesn't care if she thinks he can't handle it.

Fuck this weather, he likes it warm. He rather it be hot and gross then this stupid ass fucking weather. Which is why he picks up his pace a bit.

[fabricates]

Damn it, take her baiting. She's getting bored here. She picks up her pace as to not fall behind, hands stuffed in her pockets. She kicks a stray rock on the ground at his leg.

[knightime]

[Wow, fuck off. Stop kicking shit at his leg.

But he seems resolute in not giving her a reaction. She's totally trying to get a reaction and he knows it.]

[fabricates]

[That really isn't going to make her stop. The next rock she sees she kicks at him too. It's an excellent way to pass the time walking to the shop.]

[He glanced at her in a 'do you fucking mind, Serket?' way.]

[fabricates]

[She returns the look with a smug grin. Nah, she's pretty fucking content with what she's doing.]

[God damn it. Oh thank god, he sees the shop. He holds out his hand so Vriska can fork over the rest of her raks so he can buy her the stupid fucking rings.]

[fabricates]

[It's with great reluctance that she drops the Raks in his hand. Pretty much the only reason she's even doing this is to benefit herself anyway.]

[knightime]

[Dave takes them and disappears into the shop. He comes out a few minutes and hands her two rings.]

[fabricates]

[She slides them on her fingers and the Agility and Light Element symbols appear. Guess she's Light wherever she goes.]

Thaaaaaaaanks, I guess.

[knightime]

[He shrugs at her. He seems to not really care. Now that he's done helping her get her rings, can he leave? Can he just go back to his dorm and stop giving fucks?]

[fabricates]

[Yes, he can! In fact, she's waving her hand dismissively in his direction. Oh wait, she has to walk back with him, doesn't she? Well, whatever. She's starting back toward the dorms.]

[knightime]

[Dave actually lags behind at this point. He's kind of done with you for today. Or at least he hopes.]

[fabricates]

[Yeah, no. She's done with him too. She got her use out of him and that's really all there is to it.]

[Dave probably spends a bit of time in the city before eventually returning to school once he's sure he won't run into Vriska again.]
