Round 2

It could be a repeat of last week, Dolorosa stand on the podium looking out over the students of Fortitude, "Welcome students, I hope you have had a good week. I enjoyed watching you battle, even if we have lost the first round. Don't look down, there are many rounds to come."

If you were here last round you may notice that Nanami, Fortitude's prefect, is missing, "Before I go on and announce the winners of last round and the new Players for this round, I would like to inform you that breaking the rules is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Nanami has been punished for behavior unbecoming of a prefect, if I will punish her I will punish you as well.

"It is worth knowing that the rules are on page nine of the player handbook which you all have been given. Any one who cannot read may request a copy be sent to their PDA, an advanced PDA will read the rules to you. Please do not break the rules and give me an excuse to punish you" The peaceful smile on her face may be a bit disconcerting.

"Since we have covered that, we can now move on. While we did not win the round I would still like to congratulate you on a wonderful round. Conquest not only won more battles than us but one of their players hit the win condition. If you turn your attention to the screen behind me it will show the battles found by Fortitude."

On the screen behind her the Battle records for Fortitude and the Inter-school battles that they had fought were shown. She read the Fortitude battle records first.

She smiles kindly at the crowd, "I'm proud of you, there were very few Fortitude only battles, only one in fact, Dave vs Kotaru, congratulations Dave for winning.

"Also in fighting Conquest you all fought valiantly and I am proud of all of you. Extra notice goes to Dave for beating Feferi, Spain for defeated Golbez, Vriska for defeating Feferi, and Lelouch for defeating Homura," she claps politely and expects the others to clap as well.

"While no one in Fortitude won this round I would like to extend our congratulations to Conquest for winning and particularly Lithuania for winning the round. We should be gracious losers and fight harder next round. There is nothing to be ashamed of."

The battle records disappear. "Next I welcome our new students who joined us yesterday, you have been placed into a very kind school, so please enjoy your stay. Now I have here the list of those chosen to be Players this round, for those who have just joined us this means these students and faculty are the only persons with rights this week. The rest of you have no rights, you may be granted rights by being owned by a Player." Her smile doesn't waver, "I'm sure all of you will grant your Weapon's rights.

"To own a weapon you must vow to them, you know the vow has worked when they receive a shield mark on their hand," she held her own hand up to show to new ones what it looked like. "Players may give their Weapons permission to access the school facilities, and to eat from the full cafeteria menu among other things. If you haven't got a Player then you are a Discard, make sure you know all the rules and do exactly what Nanami tells you to, as after today she will not be punished. There is no school today but I suggest you use the time to vow to Weapons if you are a Player or find a Player if you are a Weapon. School is Monday to Friday starting 8am, I look forward to seeing you in my classroom."

[Okay, no. Please don't congratulate him for beating a kid. That just makes him feel like more of a douchebag then when he actually...fought the kid.

Oh god, why are you naming him again. He still got his ass whooped the latter two matches. Please, this is embarrassing and he doesn't want people to look his way.

Did she call his name again? Oh Jegus christ, he's a Player again. He wonders if the people he vowed with last round will vow with him again.]

[Sonic is kind of 8| that he's not a player since he kind of wants to hold a weapon, but hey, can't win 'em all.]

[He sees Sonic and goes over to give him a friendly pat on the back. Sonic was a bitchin' Weapon to work with. He fucked up when he fought Aisha. Note to self: Assume everyone here can kick his ass.

Shion was stood near Dave when the names got read out. He was relieved at not being chosen and felt sorry for Dave that he had been again.

He stood awkwardly for a while as everyone started milling around. "Are you alright?" He asked finally.

[ Sora's not really sure what to think. This is like that game Yuki told her about, the one she's apparently forgotten or should know about. A game where you fight? It doesn't sound that bad, really... oh oh isn't that HER NEW FRIEND AND ROOMMATE being called.

She thinks it might be! He's just over there, anyway, so she weaves her way over to him. ]

Frankly, Vriska was disappointed when she doesn't hear her name called again. Though it did feel great to have the recognition that she took Feferi down, it flickered a little to hear Dave had beaten her too. Well, whatever. This wasn't the time to will about it. She needed a Player, because she absolutely would not be useless in a round. Her only problem was that she really hadn't bothered getting to know anyone in the past week.

Her eyes combed over the room before landing on a familiar face. Ugh, she doesn't want to deal with Terezi's human but if she's being honest with herself, he's a good bet for winning matches. And that's all she cares about. She stands and makes her way over to him.

"Hey, Strider. Vow with me."

[ She seems considerably happier now; she's found someone to vow with, there's a piece of paper in her hand that says she can eat whatever she wants (whatever she wants 0u0) and she has new clothes and best of all, shoes. That she doesn't recognize Dave when she passes is mostly because she can't remember what he looks like.

If he's observant, he'll notice that her eyes are red from crying. But at least she's smiling now! ]

[ There is what should be a familiar face standing near Dave, straining to see over the taller people, and failing. He missed... pretty much the whole announcement, and no one can sign to translate it for him and he found a notebook that's probably supposed to be used for school, but even so, he doesn't want to just ask anybody to tell him what's going on because some people might get annoyed by that and-- *GASP*

...basically he's confused, a little frustrated, and in need of some assistance.

[Oho, so she's a player this time! This should make things more interesting... now she needs to find people to vow with. She's going to be weaving around the room, looking for distraught people.]

[ Looking for distraught people? Look no further! Jade has managed to hole herself up in the nearest corner and is currently looking like she might be suffering from some sort of illness, she's that pale. Fight? She doesn't want to fight! She'd rather be dead than be fighting, she just got to this stupid school, she has no idea what she's doing....

Her name wasn't called, so she has no idea what's going on any more. Feel free to approach. ]

[Alfred scowls; this whole system is stupid. He's only glanced over the rulebook, but he's definitely not letting someone own him. Instead, he just slouches down in his seat. There's gotta be a way to get around all this.

Well, a way that doesn't involve any sort of punishment. Not that he minds punishment, he's just not sure how far obviously crazy power-sapping kidnappers will go.]

[ A girl with red, puffy eyes comes over to talk to him. She's been crying, but she doesn't want him to know. ]

Are you okay?

Kotarou has prepared for this as much as he was able to. He's bought himself rings that will apparently make him stronger, and he's scoped out who is most likely to help him out if he demands it.

Of course, all of that is blown out of the water in a spray of awry plans and fish guts as Oichi's name is read out.

Oichi immediately goes to locate Kotarou when her name is said; she looks and looks until she finds him, and creeps up from behind. Brushing his shoulders with her hands, she asks: "Ichi's name was read... what does that mean?"

( A Weapon again. Not that Madoka is upset by this fact, everyone here seems nice and willing enough to make sure they had their rights. Her time with Homura just seemed short in comparison...

Nevertheless, she manages to keep a smile on her face the entire time as she reminds herself to simply do her best. After all, these rings were supposed to make them stronger. )

[You are like this giant pink thing walking around. He will approach you because, okay he doesn't really have a reason, but let's pretend there is a good reason why he'd approach you.

Dave holds his hand out in greeting.]

Lelouch frowns up at the board. He supposed it was fortunate that Gamzee was not a Player this round. It could have been much worse. He looked over the list, for someone that he could convince to lose to the other school so that he would have Suzaku as his Player.

He remained quiet though, and looked deep in thought.

Dahlia stood there, hands folded in front of herself as she listened politely to Dolorosa's announcement. But when she listed out the names of the week's Players, Dahlia cringed and let out a small whimper. "Oh, no..."

( It's not like Spain would know if his name was called or not. He waits a moment to see if Nanami will speak to him again but when nothing is said, he assumes he is a weapon this time around. He recognizes two names but he's only worried about one in particular. Hopefully she would be all right.


He could care less about England though. )

This will be interesting.

[ Oichi approaches him quietly, darting around the room until she stops in front of him. She tilts her head and then says in a very quiet voice: ] Hello... are you a weapon...? Ichi needs one more to fight properly, so we should be friends...

His mind burns with rage, and he grits his teeth together, balling his hands into tight fists with claws that rip through his own skin. It's all he can do to keep from full out attacking everyone within reach, and ruining his cover. He manages to keep himself hidden in the background, though.

It subsides, eventually; and the slight sting in his hands makes him glance down with surprise -- and he sees indigo staining them. The anger in his head wavers.

Oichi sees Gamzee and comes to him. She stands carefully away, and looks at the blood on his hands. She wants to touch and see, but she can sense the hostility coming off of him. "You have a strange thing coming out of you... so colorful, so vivid and beautiful... Ichi and Gamzee are friends, right...?"

[ She woke up feeling utterly horrible, and it shows on her face. The wig and hat have been put aside for now and she wears the uniform only because she can't go around wearing what she did when she arrived. She wants her drugs but she has none and she hates being like this. She hates being sober. It's too painful.

Anxiously, Nekoko looks around the room. She wants to leave, but there are people by the entrance and she's scared to go by them. So she hides away in a corner and waits for the hall to clear up. ]

[ Well, he totally didn't catch ANY of that announcerating. He really wishes he'd hit a growth spurt already. So John is just going to... chill out, until he figures out what's going on and Dave's mun gets back from class.

He's signing absently, sort of keeping up an internal monologue, in the hopes that someone knows ASL and will see him signing and come talk to him. He probably just looks kind of crazy, though. ]

[ After that horrible incident with the crying and the not remembering colors or faces, Jade's eyes are definitely puffy. She's standing by herself as well, but notices that he looks pretty miserable -- but she doesn't recognize him, not off of her head. So she decides to try and make friends. ]
