Conquest round three
Once again, there are announcements on all the screens around the campus. "Please report to the lobby at 12 noon for assembly." Those who attended the sleepover will be taken back to Conquest by Santana in the morning, where they can get ready before hand. Any who fail to attend or get lost are rounded up by Santana and taken to the lobby.
Unlike last week Day isn't smiling, she is stood on the podium arms crossed glaring at the audience. She looks angry, in the manner of a small child who has been told they can't have dessert. In short she is sulking.
When everyone is gathered she waits for them to get the hint that they should shut up and listen. "Sometimes," she began, "When you get off to a good start you begin to get complacent," those who had been Players the round before would begin to get a headache, one that got worse while Day spoke.
"Sometimes, people believe that hard work doesn't apply to them, they think they can get away with slacking. Let someone else do the hard work." Everyone else in the hall would get a headache, not a bad one but enough to be an annoyance.
"Perhaps you want to tell me that you tried, that Fortitude were just better than you. Are you really that pathetic? I thought I'd made it clear that this school is a school of winners! Winners, not losers, which is why all I asked you, the one thing I asked of you was to keep on winning."
Her glare darkened as she looked around the audience, "Pathetic, pathetic and disobedient." For one member of the audience, namely Aisha Clanclan the pain would grow, until it was difficult to stand. "This is the last time I will repeat myself, rules are on page nine, read them. Can't read? Ask someone who can or buy a bloody PDA." Aisha's pain faded.
She sighed and took a bite of the cake she had in her hand, behind her the battle records appeared.
She read the Conquest Records first. "Gino Weinberg vs Suzaku Kururugi, Gino won," Gino's headache would lessen a bit as Suzaku's got worse, "Suzaku Kururugi vs Estonia, Estonia won," again Suzaku's headache got worse as Estonia's lessened. Suzaku Kururugi vs Nephenee, Suzaku won." Suzaku's headache finally lessened as Nephenee's got worse.
She moved on to the interschool battles, again as she read each battle if conquest had won the fighter's headache would lessen, if they had lost it would get worse."Suzaku Kururugi beat Dahlia Hawthorne and Yuri Lowell. Gino Weinberg won against Oichi, Nephenee won against Yuri Lowell.
However Suzaku Kururugi let England, Dave Strider and Oichi beat him. Marik Ishtar lost to Dave Strider as did Estoia and Gino Weinberg. Gino Weinberg also lost to Yuri Lowell. Nephenee lost against Marisa Kirisame."
She shook her head and the records dissappeared, "Pathetic. Suzaku Kururugi and Gino Weinberg did win the round, but really. I just hope this rounds players do better."
Santana finally speaks up, "You better hope you do better this round," the obvious warning hangs in the air for a few seconds before the headaches vanished and the new names came up on the screen behind them. Day read them out.
"Feferi Peixes
Aisha Clanclan
Nephenee
America
Sis Strider
Karkat Vantas
Dirk Strider"

"You know, I can almost respect you. You're honest about what this is, more than anyone. You're also really good at throwing temper tantrums, nyah.
Just not better at it than I am."

Aisha and Suzaku don't get off so easily, and he at least manages to snag Suzaku's shoulders before the guy topples over from the penalty. Aisha seems a little more together, so he doesn't grab her, but they're still standing together. ]
Man, it may sound stupid coming from me, but you need to stop picking fights you can't win.

Probably. [He looks down, feeling awkward since he is still not sure what he thinks about Gino, and him apparently being from the future, and Suzaku betrayed him... yet Gino seemed friendly enough.]

Looks like the kid gloves are off, huh.

You haven't seen me pick a fight, nyah. Not until right now. Let me protect you, Gino, I need your help . . .

Without Estonia as a player, he's not really sure who he should partner with, except that it should probably be someone willing to use him in a fight. He's looking uncertainly around the room at the moment.]

Still when Nephenee's loss was called he turned to hug her tightly. When her name was called for the second time he looked up at her and smiled. "I'll be your weapon again if you want me! I'm sure you can win all the battles this time!"

"I'd like that...thanks, Kotaro. That's a big help. Ah'll do my best to be a good Player for ya too. Is thar anyone ya'd like ta join us?"

"Oh awesome! So I get to, like, pull weapons and shit out of people's chests this time! Right?" He was extremely pumped and full of energy right now. What could be more badass than that, right? Besides being the one who had the weapon pulled out of their chest, that is. "Dude this is so rad~!"

A word was not spoken by her though. Her brother was in Fortitude, and if it came down to it- she was going to win him. There was something there, just and inkling of resistance at the thought she would have to harm her younger brother in any way.
Yet...the thought quickly fades to nag at the back of her mind once again.]

I guess you get to be a player huh? Lucky!
[A small pout and a frustrated look crosses her face as she crosses her arms. She was still not exactly happy over the lecture. She was one of the weapons won to the other school last round. So that made her pout even harder.]
